Review ‘The One’ by Keira Cass

When I
first read ‘The Selection’ by Keira Cass a view months ago I wasn’t expecting
to fall in love with this series. The description of this book was so different
than all the other books I’ve read. It was so original and I truly didn’t know
what I could expect. But I did fall in love with this series. I loved it from
the very first page. After I read ‘The Selection’ I soon read book two ‘The
Elite’. I had to wait a while before the last book ‘The One’ got published but
when it did I ordered it immediately on Amazon. This week I finally could start
reading it and I finished it in a day and half.

In ‘The
One’ the story of America continues as one of the four last elite girls in the
selection to become Prince Maxon’s wife. The completion is nearing his end and
America is doing her best to win Maxon’s heart. In the beginning she didn’t want
anything to do with winning this completion, but now all she wants to do is
winning Maxon. He is all she ever wanted. But outside the palace the threats
against the kingdom are getting more and more dangerous. Soon America can’t
ignore all the things happening and she soon finds herself in more danger than
before.

I had to wait so long before I could finally start reading the third book in this amazing series. And the
wait was totally worth it. From the very first page I was immediately back in
America’s world. I was afraid I wouldn’t remember all the stuff from the first
two books because I read them so long ago, but fortunately I remembered
everything from the very first page. I didn’t want to stop reading. I felt
myself being pulled into the palace live and I was so rooting for America and
Maxon.

I loved
and adored Maxon’s character from the very first book. I felt so sorry for him
and his sheltered live. The only chance on finding a wife for him is this
selection and he is so scared to make the wrong choice. His whole life everyone
is telling him what he should and shouldn’t do. It’s just so sad. But somehow
he stayed this funny, pure and honest guy. He totally is the prince on the
white horse if you ask me. The chemistry between America and Maxon is seeping
through the pages. They are totally different and they have lived totally
different lives but still they find peace and love in each other. WOW!! I just
loved it.

I think
this book was just perfect and I love that there will be more book in this series. I just love this series and I
love how Keira Cass was able to create a whole new world. This series is
nothing like other books I read before. It truly is a wonderful story. And in ‘The
One’ every question you could ever had after reading ‘The Selection’ and ‘The
Elite’ is answered. This book is definitely going on my favorite list.
