This week was a busy one. One Monday my grandma came over for a visit and we had a lovely day. We talked, had a nice lunch and she even stayed for dinner.
I worked my regular days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and the evenings where pretty busy as well. On Wednesday night my best friend and I went to pick out some paint for our new bedroom. On Thursday I had this braiding class because I really wanted to learn how to braid my baby girls hair. She’s going to school after the summer, and I just wanted to make sure I can do her hair. It was a fun evening and better yet.. I learned all these different kinds of braids. I still have to practice a lot though.
On Friday our little girl had her regular dance class, and in the afternoon I took both kids to this water playground. We met my friend and her baby girl there. We had a fun afternoon.
This weekend we are painting our new bedroom since the renovation is pretty much done. We are still waiting on one big part for the balcony.. and then I’ll share some photos.
My husband also let me and my best friend know that the tickets for London this December are booked and I’m so excited. We where supposed to go last year, as a surprise Christmas gift from my husband, but it got canceled due to Covid. I really hope this year we’ll make it there.

How nice that you enjoy time with your Grandmother! That warms my heart!! I used to love fixing my daughter’s hair. You’ll soon get the hang of it! Isn’t the cover of Shattered Sins so beautiful? Wow….
Thank you Patricia. I’ll definitely keep on practising. 😉
So glad to hear I’m not the only one who can’t braid!! I’m left handed and it makes it even worse! I need to go for a course as well.
Glad you had a good visit from your Grandmother. What’s the dutch word? Ours is “Ouma”.
Have a good week Maureen and happy reading!

That’s so funny. The Dutch word for Grandmother is Oma. So pretty much the same 😉
Happy reading Mareli.
Can’t wait to see the pictures of the place. I love the idea of a braiding class, even though I think I will suck at it. Glad you had fun time with you grandma.
Well.. I definitely sucked at it too. LOL!! Thankfully I got better after a few tries.
A braiding class sounds fun. I wonder if I could find something like that for my daughter here. Have a great week!
I definitely didn’t think I would be able to find a class like this. I just googled it and emailed the hairdresser and before I knew it I had an appointment in two days. 😀
Glad the braiding class is going well! I think I only know how to do the typical one! I didn’t realize there were other ways to braid hair! Hoping your London trip goes along smoothly as well! Fingers crossed!
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks Jessica. Happy reading.
yay for hopefully getting to go to London! Covid has messed up my plans to visit Scotland and my sister in more than one way. 🙁 Hope you have a great week!

I really hope you’ll be able to visit Scotland soon Lisa. I definitely hope this Covid things keep being under control.
Happy reading.
I need that braiding class for when my granddaughter visits.
I’d definitely recommend it. I’m still not perfect at it.. but atleast I’m able to do something more with her hair. 😀
It’s nice for you to work a shorter week so you have plenty of family time. I’m so glad your renovation finished pretty quickly. Enjoy!

Thank you Anne.
Same same on the London trip! We’re probably going this December as well.
I’m really curious about your renovation pictures!
That’s so exciting. Maybe we are there at the same time 😉
Happy reading.
Sounds like a good week, Maureen! How neat to take a class on braiding. I’ve never heard of anything like that. Can’t wait to see the finished renovation!
I honestly didn’t know it existed before either. I googled it and accidentally found the class for the same week. LOL!
Happy reading.
London at Christmas! Just imagine it!!!!
Amazing right? I’m so excited!
My daughter went through a period where she insisted on braids every single day. It is wonderful that you got to spend some time with your grandmother. I really miss those times. I cannot wait to see all of your renovations.
It is definitely amazing spending time with my grandma. I’m lucky she is still in such great health and able to visit me and our kids.
Happy reading.
