As I predicted before, this week has been really busy. I’ve worked on Monday, Thursday (from home) and Friday and I’m working this weekend. I’ve been super tired, and haven’t even been able to visit you guys last week. Sigh.. I’m sorry! I’ll be better this week!
My reading has also slowed down a bit due to my work schedule and me being so tired. I’ve fallen asleep with my book in my hands at least two times this week. But the books I did read where pretty good.
This next week things will finally slow down a bit, at least for a little while. I’ll only have to work on Monday and Friday and I’m going to pick Maureen’s Books Book Club first read next week. I’m super excited!!
Next Sunday we are going to celebrate our little girls second birthday party. I’m really excited for it, but also a little anxious. I grew up never really celebrating birthdays, so I’m just not used to it. But I want our girl to have a nice celebration and now I feel like I just don’t know what I’m doing. I guess it’s the perfectionist in me.
I hope you guys are doing well. Are there any great books you’ve read that I need to know about?
- Review ‘The Goodbye Guy’ by Natasha Moore
- Book Tour ‘Six Nights In Paradise’ by Ashley Cole
- Review ‘Her Second Chance Cowboy’ by Makenna Lee
- Review ‘Zone of Action’ by Cathy Skendrovich
- Maureen’s Books Book Club August Pick
- Release Blitz ‘Knox’ by Prescott Lane
- Blog Tour ‘More Than Dare You’ by Shayla Black
Received from publisher/author:
- Starting in August Maureen’s Books Book Club will go life and I hope you guys join me.

Sorry to hear you have been so tired, Maureen – I had a similar problem last week too, with burnout from the last week of term, so much so I didn’t even post last Sunday! Hopefully we are both able to perk this week, with some time off and a bit of TLC. Also your little girl’s birthday is something to look forward to – I hope you all enjoy celebrating it. 🎉 Take care and happy reading! 😃
I’m sorry to hear that Jessica. I hope this week is better for you.
Have a great week and happy reading.
So much sympathy with the “I’m just resting my eyes” thing, haha. Sorry to hear you’re so tired! Best of luck with the party — I’m sure it’ll be great.
My weekly roundup/STS post.
Thanks Nicky. Happy reading.
There are so many people who are tired these days. It’s a different type of tired. I think it’s adapting to your new normal and all the “unknowns” and uncertainties around us.
Good luck with your Book Club! At least that is something nice to look forward to.
Here’s my The Sunday Post
Maybe you’re right! It’s definitely a very strange world at the moment.
Have a great week and happy reading.
I always hate being so tired… I have so many hobbies and I always feel like I only have time to work, eat and sleep!
Hopefully the next week will be one with a bit more relaxing for you.
Ow I totally know what you mean. There just needs to be more time in a week.
Have a great week and happy reading.
Looking forward to the first book of the club. And I hope you get some rest in between Maureen. Take care.
Thanks Gayathri. I’m super excited you are joining my little Book club. I think we will have fun. 😉
Happy reading.
Sorry you are so tired – I hope you can catch up on lost sleep this coming week.
As for the birthday – just enjoy the celebration! My mother used to get very wound up at all such parties and was often snappy and short tempered. So I always made a point of being really relaxed and my children look back on their birthdays with fondness. It doesn’t have to be perfect:)).
Thanks Sarah. I’ll definitely keep that in mind. 😉
Happy reading.
Sorry your week was so busy. I found I had the opposite and that made the week drag. I hope our weeks switch in that sense! Lol. Hope the planning for your little girl’s birthday goes well too!
Nice new read too! Totally new to me one but I hope you thoroughly enjoy it once you get to read it!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

Thank you Molly.
Hope this week is better for you. Have fun with the book club 🙂
Thank you 😉
Sometimes you just need a break. I’m excited to see what your book club pick will be. I hope you have a great birthday celebration!
Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
So true Anne. Our book club pick is now up on my post on the right 😉
Have a great week and happy reading.
Hopefully you’ll get a break and have fun at your daughters birthday – I never had much in the way of parties when I grew up, I couldn’t sleep the night before my kids parties! I was so nervous, they were not remotely bothered!
Thanks Heather. I’m trying to be all relaxed about it. 😉
Happy reading.
