I’ve been loving A.L. Jackson’s books for a few years now. So when I got the opportunity to sign up for an ARC of ‘Say It’s Forever’ I didn’t have to think about it. Especially when I read this was book two in the Redemption Hills series. I read book one, ‘Give Me A Reason’, last year and absolutely loved it. So when I received the ARC I was super excited and started reading as soon as I could.

In ‘Say It’s Forever’ we meet Salem and Jud. Salem has been on the run for years, trying to keep her daughter and herself safe from her past. After many years, she slows down in Redemption Hills. For the first time in a very long time Salem starts to feel at home in the small town. But when she meets Jud, she knows things can’t stay ‘safe’ forever. Especially when Jud makes her feel things, she hasn’t felt before. She should move again, but really doesn’t want to anymore.

Jud is living his life in Redemption Hills, living near his brothers, trying to make amends with the horrible things he has done in his past. Jud keeps to himself, and never gets emotionally involved with anyone. But from the moment he sees Salem standing on the side of the road, everything changes. He just knows he has to keep her safe. But there are so many secrets between them, and so many baggage. Will they ever be able to be together for real? Or is it just impossible.

‘Say It’s Forever’ is a story that definitely starts right at the very first page. No slow introductions at all. And although this always takes me a little while to adjust to.. It certainly worked for this story. And from the moment Salem and Jud met, I couldn’t put this book down because I just really wanted to know what would happen next.

The romance between Salem and Jud is really fun to read about. Their chemistry is something that you can easily feel flying off the pages. And I simple loved them. Salem is definitely hesitant about her instant connection with Jud. But Jud is very honest, and a bit crude about it. It made for some very fun moments.

Another great part was how Salem was welcomed into the small town, and in Jud’s world. Although she might have been scared, everyone around her wanted to make her feel welcome. If you didn’t love small town stories before, you would have definitely loved it after this book.

Next to some steamy, and swoon worthy romance, there is some suspense in this book that kept me hooked till the very last page. And above all, it made me want to read the next book in this series soon too.
