A.L. Jackson is one of those authors I’ve loved every single book of so far. I haven’t read all her books yet, but let me tell you.. The once I did read where amazing, and I can’t wait to read more. So when I received a sign up for an ARC of book one of ...KEEP READING »

Kiss The Stars by A.L. Jackson

‘Kiss The Stars’ is a book with no slow introduction. Bam, we are right in the middle of things from the start. Although I needed a little time to figure things out, I was able to catch up quickly enough.

Mia West’s life has been turned upside down lately, and as a single mom she hasn’t really got any time to get to think about things much. And when she meets Leif Goodwin she instantly sees something in his dark gaze she simple can’t forget. Mia and Leif have both been through a lot, and without wanting too or planning too, they are what they both need.

What I loved about this book is that we figure things out about Mia and Leif throughout this book. There is something mysterious about both of them, and we only figure things out bit by bit. And I loved it. It kept me hooked to these pages from the beginning till the end. And yes, I totally read this book in one night.

The chemistry between Mia and Leif was pretty palpable from the start. And I loved how everyone around them could feel and see it too. And since becoming a mom myself, I love mom stories. And Mia was a pretty damn good momma. I just loved how she was with her kids, and how Leif was with them too. He might have tried to resist it, but those kids hooked their claws into him and he was a goner.

A.L. Jackson is one of those authors I just haven’t read a book from I didn’t like. And ‘Kiss The Stars’ really was another great one. There was hot and sexy romance, very funny moments, suspense, and some very cute family bonding. Simple put.. this book was one I couldn’t stop until I finished it.

Hold on to Hope

I’ve read two books by A.L. Jackson so far and loved them both. And I always planned on reading more of her books. So when I saw the sign up for ‘Hold On To Hope’ I knew I wanted to read this book. And when I received the book, I was so excited I just couldn’t wait to dive right in.

In ‘Hold On To Hope’ we meet Frankie Leigh and Evan. Frankie and Evan have been best friends for a very long time. Frankie the wild girl, and Evan the deaf boy with a heart condition. Their friendship has always been one that many of us can only imagine. And they have always loved each other more than friends. But Evan broke Frankie’s heart a view years ago, and now Frankie doesn’t know if she can ever trust him again. Especially when Evan comes back home with a big surprise.

I knew before I started reading ‘Hold On To Hope’ that I would love this book. I could just feel it! And boy was I right?! From the moment I started reading ‘Hold On To Hope’ I loved every single page. I loved the intense and beautiful friendship between Frankie and Evan. I loved them together, because of their friendship but also because they both where just such fun characters. Their conversations where fun, and I loved how Frankie was this wild girl and Evan kept her grounded.

This book was filled with romance, friendship and also suspense. It kept me sitting on the edge of my seat, and I just didn’t want to stop reading. This book really gave me all the feelings. Excitement because of the beautiful romance, but also sadness because of Evan’s condition and everything he had to go through. And most of all I loved the way Evan was deaf. It might sound crazy, but this just made this book perfect. The characters weren’t perfect. Just like in real life. And I enjoyed reading this book while imagining the characters using sign language, and lip reading. It was different and fun and made me appreciate my families health.

There where also a lot of side characters that I was curious about. For example Frankie’s best friend Cally. I felt like there was another story there.

This book was definitely even better than I imagined. I loved every single page and would definitely recommend it. ‘Hold On To Hope’ is a beautiful, romantic and touching story that will definitely stay with me.
