A.L. Jackson is one of those authors I’ve loved every single book of so far. I haven’t read all her books yet, but let me tell you.. The once I did read where amazing, and I can’t wait to read more. So when I received a sign up for an ARC of book one of ...KEEP READING »

Show Me the Way (Fight for Me, #1)

Show Me the Way (Fight for Me, #1)

I love A.L. Jackson! And over the years I’ve read a lot of her books. So when I got a little free time on my reading schedule and saw ‘Show Me The Way’ on my kindle, I knew this was the book I was going to read next.

In ‘Show Me The Way’ we meet Rynna Dayne. Rynna moves back to the little town she grew up in after her grandmother passed away. It’s been many years since Rynna was in her childhood town, and a lot of memories come back to her, good and bad. Now it’s time for Rynna to take a chance in life again. So when she meets her handsome neighbor Rex, she is determined to take a chance on him. Even if Rex does everything to try to keep her away.

Rex has known a lot of grieve. And he is done with love and woman. The only woman in his life are his mom and his little girl. But when Rynna moves next to him, he can’t seem to stay away from her. And he sure does try. But there is something about Rynna that makes him want more. And soon he doesn’t know how to stay away anymore.

From the moment I started reading about Rex and Rynna I was definitely hooked. I loved these two characters and their connection was simple magical. Their chemistry was something I could easily feel coming of the pages. And that is definitely what I love about A.L. Jacksons writing most. She always makes me love her characters, and Rex and Rynna are definitely characters I loved.

Both characters have a lot of secrets in their past. And I loved how we slowly get to figure everything out. It gave this read definitely something of a mystery, and it made me unable to stop reading. There was also a bit of suspense in the end. It fitted this story perfectly.

Throughout this read we also read a little bit about Rex’s friends. And I sure now want to read their story too.

‘Show Me The Way’ was a romantic, fun read that kept me hooked from start till finish.

Beneath the Stars (Falling Stars, #4)

After reading a few of A.L. Jackson books, and a few in this series, I knew I wanted to read more. And after reading the book description I knew for certain this was book I needed to read. So when I received an ARC, I got super excited and dived right in.

In ‘Beneath The Stars’ we meet Maggie and Rhys. Maggie is a twenty year old who has been through hell. But she isn’t like most woman her age. Maggie is definitely more mature than most people her age, and she really ‘feels’ people. And from the moment she met Rhys Manning, a thirty two year old country rock star, a few months back she has been in awe of him. But a relationship between the two of them is definitely forbidden. Not only is Maggie way to innocent and young for Rhys, there is also danger luring and although their chemistry is of the roofs.. Some people would do anything to hurt Rhys.

‘Beneath The Stars’ is definitely A.L. Jackson at her best. From the moment I started reading I found myself wanting to know more about these two characters. Both Maggie and Rhys are so different, but they have this connection that is just incredible to read about it and I was rooting for them from the start. The chemistry between them is flying of the pages and definitely makes you swoon and sigh.

What I also love about this read, is that it isn’t only romance. There is also some suspense going on, and it kept me guessing right till the very end. Especially Rhys’s characters is so mysterious and there is a lot in his past that keeps hunting him. And I really wanted to keep on reading to find out what was going on. And to be honest.. his past with his dad made me cry. I was so sad for the little boy. Especially since I work at a Trauma ward in the hospital and have seen stuff like this happen in real-life.

What was also fun is reading about characters from the previous books. A.L. Jackson is definitely a star in letting her characters intwine into different books and series. And although I haven’t read them all, I enjoyed reading about these characters too. But at times there were a lot of names to keep apart. And I’m really not good with names.

‘Beneath The Stars’ was a fun and entertaining read that definitely makes you want to read more A.L. Jackson novels.

Catch Me When I Fall

After I read book one in the Falling Stars series ‘Kiss The Stars’, I knew this was a series I wanted to read more books off. So when I got the opportunity to read ‘Catch Me When I Fall’, I was super excited and started reading as fast as I could.

In ‘Catch Me When I Fall’ we meet Emily. Emily is the singer of the upcoming country band Caroline George. They are on their way to signing a record deal and Royce is the one who has to make sure everything works out. But when Emily and Royce meet, there is this connection between them everyone can see. Unfortunately something more than friends would be such a bad idea.. and they both have a lot of baggage and secrets.

Just as in the first book in this series, this book starts immediately from the first page on. There is no slow introduction to the characters, we find out what is going on while reading these pages. And I love that. Sure, in the beginning I wondered if I missed something.. but I soon realized I just had to be patient (not my strong suit LOL!).

From the moment I started reading this book I knew it was going to blow my mind. I just loved the main characters Emily and Royce and was rooting for them from the start. Emily is this kind, loving, talented singer and songwriter who has been through something horrific. And when she meets Royce, she feels this intense connection like they are meant to be together even they really shouldn’t be together because of their work situation. And Royce? Well… he is one lovely, handsome, kind, sexy book boyfriend. I just knew there was more to him from the very start.

‘Catch Me When I Fall’ is a book I simple couldn’t put down. I kept wondering what would happen next, and I ended up reading this one way past my bedtime. But it was worth every minute of lost sleep. This book really made me feel everything! It was sad, it was romantic, it was funny, there was some suspenseful moments.. I loved it.

Although this book is part of a series, it is a standalone. But I definitely loved reading a little about the characters of the first book. And there are so many other characters we read about too.. And I wonder what their story is. A.L. Jackson sure did a great job with this read and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Hold on to Hope

I’ve read two books by A.L. Jackson so far and loved them both. And I always planned on reading more of her books. So when I saw the sign up for ‘Hold On To Hope’ I knew I wanted to read this book. And when I received the book, I was so excited I just couldn’t wait to dive right in.

In ‘Hold On To Hope’ we meet Frankie Leigh and Evan. Frankie and Evan have been best friends for a very long time. Frankie the wild girl, and Evan the deaf boy with a heart condition. Their friendship has always been one that many of us can only imagine. And they have always loved each other more than friends. But Evan broke Frankie’s heart a view years ago, and now Frankie doesn’t know if she can ever trust him again. Especially when Evan comes back home with a big surprise.

I knew before I started reading ‘Hold On To Hope’ that I would love this book. I could just feel it! And boy was I right?! From the moment I started reading ‘Hold On To Hope’ I loved every single page. I loved the intense and beautiful friendship between Frankie and Evan. I loved them together, because of their friendship but also because they both where just such fun characters. Their conversations where fun, and I loved how Frankie was this wild girl and Evan kept her grounded.

This book was filled with romance, friendship and also suspense. It kept me sitting on the edge of my seat, and I just didn’t want to stop reading. This book really gave me all the feelings. Excitement because of the beautiful romance, but also sadness because of Evan’s condition and everything he had to go through. And most of all I loved the way Evan was deaf. It might sound crazy, but this just made this book perfect. The characters weren’t perfect. Just like in real life. And I enjoyed reading this book while imagining the characters using sign language, and lip reading. It was different and fun and made me appreciate my families health.

There where also a lot of side characters that I was curious about. For example Frankie’s best friend Cally. I felt like there was another story there.

This book was definitely even better than I imagined. I loved every single page and would definitely recommend it. ‘Hold On To Hope’ is a beautiful, romantic and touching story that will definitely stay with me.
