This week has been a hard one and I haven’t been visiting you guys as much as I’d like. Last weekend I had to work. I did on Saturday, but when I came home I started to feel really bad and I spend the rest of my evening and night on and above the toilet. And with a sore back and pelvic through my pregnancy, this was an even worse way to spend my evening than it would normally be. I ended up having to test for Covid on Sunday. Which was also fun since I had to drive to my work while being nauseas and being afraid I’d have to go the toilet while being on the High way. Yes it was fun. Luckily my Covid test was negative, but I still felt terrible. Luckily my husband was home to take care of our little girl.
The rest of the week I still felt off, but slowly on things where going better. I took it very easy, and tried to sleep when my little girl did. I worked on Thursday, and will have to work again this weekend. I’ll keep my fingers crossed I keep feeling okay. I hope you guys are patient with me while I try to catch up, and rest a little in the meantime.
Maureen’s Books Book Club got a lot new members this week, which I’m really excited about and I’ve got some fun reads to look forward too. And not to forget.. I signed up for the HoHoHo Readathon hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s always so much fun! Don’t forget to sign up too!
I hope you guys are doing well.

I am so sorry you’ve been ill. Was it the flu? I will pray you continue to feel better.
Thanks Kimberly. I don’t know what it was.. maybe something I ate and because of my pregnancy it might have been a little harder to beat. My husband and little girl feel good luckily.
Maureen, I am so sorry you have been so poorly. I’m glad you are feeling better now and pray you will only get better, and that it won’t come back. 🙏 Take care, look after yourself and happy reading. We’ll all still be here when you’re better and have more time to visit us. 🙂
Thanks Jessica. It’s definitely been bad. But luckily these last two days things have finally started to feel better.
I hope you’re feeling better Maureen!
You got some very nice looking books to keep you company for when you do feel better 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead, and stay safe and healthy 🙂
Thank you Linda. If it wasn’t for my books I’d gone crazy I think. LOL!
Aw – so very sorry to hear that you have been feeling so ill! Especially as on top of that you had to drag yourself in to be tested – not a nice procedure, either… Hope you manage to get plenty of rest and take care, Maureen.x
Thanks Sarah. So far things are going much better.
I am so sorry to hear about your health. I hope you are feeling better now and take all the rest you can! Stay safe too.
Thanks Gayathri.
Sorry to hear about your bad week, that sound terrible having to go drive when feeling that bad. That’s good news your Covid test was negative. I hope next week will be better for you. That’s good that you’re taking it easy.
Thanks Lola. It was definitely one of the worst drives of my life. Sigh.. But I managed.
Aaaah Maureen, so sorry you are not feeling well. Do take it easy. Read your lovely books and just try to take it easy.
Will be thinking of you.
Thanks Mareli.
Thank goodness you tested negative for COVID! I’m sorry that you’ve been feeling bad lately. Hope you get better soon!
Thanks Ronyell
Ack! Sorry to hear you were sick. Being pregnant and sick can’t be fun at all! Hope you’re on the mend now. <3
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy them! Hope this week will be better for you!

Old Follower 🙂
It sure wasn’t fun to be this sick. But thankfully it got better soon.
Happy reading.
Sorry to hear you’ve been ill but I’m glad to hear you are clear of covid!
I completely spaced on reading last month’s book club read. Just couldn’t get in the mood for it so had to set it aside for now… I already own this month’s read so fingers crossed I manage to read that one and actually participate this month! 🙂
Here’s to a better week!
Thanks Nicci.
No worries. Whenever you’re able to.. join in the fun 😉
I hope you feel much better soon and I’m thrilled it’s not COVID,

Thanks Anne.
You poor thing! Being pregnant and working amid the coronavirus pandemic must be worrisome. I’m glad it wasn’t that though. I hope you feel better soon. Enjoy your reading week!
Thanks Laura. I’m much better now thankfully.
Happy reading.
So glad your Covid test was ok and you’re feeling better, it’s so stressful right now any illness turns into a game of it is Covid or is it something normal? I’ve been stuck inside with a mild a cold for two weeks.
It’s definitely stressful at the moment. I hope your cold clears soon.
Happy reading.
So sorry you’ve not been feeling well, Maureen. I hope things have settled down and you’re doing much better this week.
Thanks Tanya. Happy reading.
