Life:
The last two weeks have been crazy busy. I worked a lot,
and many long days. And because of that I even missed the Sunday Post last
week. I was so tired, I just needed to do nothing and relax. I wanted to make a
Sunday Post.. but in the end I figured it was better to skip a week and catch
up on my house, blog and reading. But this week I’m back!

I’m still really busy with work, and figuring things out
for the wedding. And I definitely have some trouble finding time for myself to
read. But I’m hoping to find a better routine soon.

This week my boyfriend and I started watching ‘Games of
Thrones’, which we hadn’t seen before. We’re still at the very beginning of the
series (we just watched the third episode) but we definitely like it so far. I wanted
to watch this series for a long time, but I always wanted to read the book
first. Since I figured that reading the book wouldn’t be in the near future, I
decided it was time to watch the show. I know… we are soooo behind!!

On Friday me and my mom spend the day in the Sauna. It
was our first time in a big sauna, and although it took some getting used to,
we had a lovely day. Lots of saunas, nice food, good company and even a
massage. It was a perfect day to catch up and relax.

At night we barbequed with the guys. The day went by way
to fast.
to fast.
And this weekend I have to work again. It’s the third
weekend in a row I have to work, and I honestly can’t wait for next weekend,
when I don’t have to work.

Books and Blogging:
Like I said before, I didn’t have a lot of reading time these last view weeks. But I’m trying to figure something out so I can catch up on my reading. Blog wise I also didn’t have a lot of time, so I tried to make my posts for the whole week on one day. Hopefully this upcoming week will also give me some more blogging time. I really miss spending time on here.
As you can see I didn’t have a Wednesday’s Favorites post this week. I’m trying to make some changes to the post and since I also had a blog tour post on Wednesday, I decided to take a week off to fix it up a little. 😉

- Have you guys heard about all the seasons of Gilmore Girls, being on
Netflix from July 1st? I love that series and I never get bored
watching episodes. I also can’t wait for the new episodes to air. - Last week was the anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and
the Philosopher Stone. It was published for the first time 19 years
ago!! Where did the time go? - Other Harry Potter news.. Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy
in Harry Potter, has joined the cast of the series ‘The Flash’. I’m so behind
on this series, but definitely want to catch up now! -
You’ve probably already seen it.. But I can’t wait for
this movie to come out, so I’m going to add the trailer here anyway just so I can look at it again. Sigh.. LOL!‘Beauty and the Beast’ featuring Emma Watson coming in
2017!

Hope you get some reading time! I hardly read at all last week, for some reason- must be the summer weather. 🙂 And enjoy game of Thrones- it's kinda nice to start it this way so now you guys can binge it lol.
I've got The Waking Fire on my TBR so I'll have to watch for your thoughts on it.
Maybe it is the summer weather.. Although the summer weather is missing here. It has been raining for days. I hope it gets better.
Thanks Greg. I really enjoy the Game of Thrones so far. It's definitely different than the other series I watch.
Have a great week and happy reading! 😉
A sauna and massage day sounds amazing! And then a bbq too?! Sounds awesome! I'm sure you'll find a way to balance everything again and get caught back up on blogging and reading soon enough 🙂 Have a great week!
It was amazing Kristen. I felt totally relaxed. And the bbq was also really fun. Unfortunately it started to rain, so we ended up standing under the parasol. LOL!
Thanks Kristen. I really hope I can balance everything again soon..
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
I've only watched the first season of Game of Thrones and didn't love it. When I eventually tried to watch the second season I couldn't remember enough of the first season so gave up.
I completely understand you needing to take time off the Sunday Post when you're busy. Better to have the down time than it feel like a chore!
There's definitely a lot to remember in watching the Game of Thrones. So I can see what you mean. It's a very different series than I normally watch.. but I'm enjoying it. 😉
You're so right.. I never want this to feel like a chore.. so having a break sometimes is the better option.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I loved Valley of the Dolls, back in the day, and enjoyed the movie, too. Recently it was on TV again, for some reason…maybe because Patty Duke, who played Neely, had just died.
I love Gilmore Girls and watched the whole thing on Netflix a while ago…and I'm eager for the new updated series (four parts) to air.
Enjoy your week…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
I can't wait for the updated series of Gilmore Girls. I really love that series.. I most have watched the complete series at least four times.
Valley of the Dolls was not my thing. But it was fun and I'm glad I read it.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I'm excited about the Beauty and the Beast movie. Emma Watson is such perfect casting as Belle. I haven't been reading much either. Something about summer always drops my reading to a trickle. Glad you took the time to relax! There are times when we just really need too but it's hard to actually do it. Have a great week!
Me too. I can't wait for Beauty and the Beast to come out. I loved that trailer.. when listening to the music behind the trailer I got goosebumps.. I'm so excited!! LOL!!
Relaxing sometimes really is very hard. But I'll keep trying! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading.
Ugh…3 weekends in a row at work…that stinks…hope it eases up and you have time to do other things! Illusion Town looks good!
Yep.. working three weekends was a little too much. It happens occasionally, but I always feel like I'm working non-stop because I just don't relax as much when I'm only free on week days.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
I took last Sunday off too. I hope you find time to read this week. It's not always easy, I know. I ended up reading much less than I had hoped last month, sad to say.
I am glad you are enjoying Game of Thrones! I have only seen the first season. I admit I haven't watched more because I wanted to read further in the series (I've only read the first book), but I think I'm going to have to accept your logic–that I won't be reading them soon, so just give in and watch the series. I can't wait for Beauty and the Beast to come out! Thanks for the heads up about Tom Felton being in the Flash. I haven't seen the show, but this might be my motivation. 🙂
Have a great week, Maureen!
Let's hope we both get to read more this month Wendy!! 😉
I definitely get that you wanted to read the books first.. but those books are just so big and there are soooo much more books. And since everybody was talking about it I felt like I was missing out.. So I figured.. I can always read the books later! 😉
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Reading! 😉
It's such a struggle to balance working life, family, hobbies, reading and blogging. I constantly struggle with it.
Your spa day sounded great! I try to do one every year with friends and it's such a lovely athmosphere to really chill out it. I love them!
It's definitely a struggle. And sometimes I wonder if I'll ever succeed in it.. But I'll keep trying! 😀
The spa day was great and really what the doctor ordered. LOL!!
Have a great week and Happy Reading! 😉
