Happy May everyone! How can it be May already? Where does the time go? Our baby boy is almost ten weeks old and in 7 weeks I’ll be going back to work. Yikes.. Don’t want to think about that yet.
Not a lot has happened this past week. On Tuesday we celebrated Kings day here in the Netherlands, which due to COVID, didn’t entail much. But we spend the day outside in a playing area since it was a very sunny day. So it was pretty nice.
On Friday I took our girl to her very first toddler dancing class. It was outside because of the COVID regulations and she loved it. It was so sweet to see her dancing with kids her age and just have fun. She will be going every week from now on and she is so excited.
This weekend we don’t have a lot planned. I hope to do some blogging and reading.
How have you guys been? What have you been up to?

Aww that dancing class sounds fun. 🙂 And ooh Wilbur! Ha I haven’t read that in ages. 🙂
Hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
It was a lot of fun. You should have seen her little face. So cute! 😀
I am pleased to hear you enjoyed some sunny weather for Kings day and that your daughter loved her first toddlers dance class, that is so sweet. 😊As for my week, I have been mostly working, reading and cooking -nearly finished the brilliant, classic adventure The Lost World by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. 🦖 Take care and happy reading in the coming week, Maureen 🙂
The Lost World is definitely a classic. I’ve never read it.. but it’s always been a book I’d want to read some day. If only there where more hours in a day 😀 Happy reading.
Outdoor dance class sounds amazing and I am glad she enjoyed it. And keep your thoughts about work off as long as you can
Stay safe and cheerful!
It was really fun and she was so excited afterwards!
Have a great week and happy reading.
I love the sound of the dancing class…and how quickly those kids are growing! We always seem amazed about that. LOL
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
LOL! So true.
Have a great week an happy reading!
Ah… one of the joys of seeing lockdown lifting is watching small children being able to socialise with each other, again. So glad she is enjoying the dancing so much! And I can’t quite believe your little boy is already 10 weeks old:). Have a lovely, peaceful week, Maureen:).
So true!! I was looking forward to getting our girl to socialise more. Especially since socialising isn’t something that comes naturally to me. LOL!
Happy reading.
10 weeks old? Wow. Time really does fly!
I hope you have a lovely weekend. 🙂
Yes, crazy right?! Time is going by so fast.
Happy reading.
How nice that they were able to do an outdoor dance class. That’s perfect for toddlers!
Yes, it was definitely very nice. She wasn’t bothered at all by being outside. Even though the weather wasn’t that great.
Sounds like a nice quiet week. Mine was anything but, sadly. Lol.
Hope you enjoy the new reads!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I’m sorry your week wasn’t nice and quiet Jessica. I hope this week is going better for you. 😉
Oh I can’t wait to see your daughter in dancing photos. Little girls love their dance classes. I’m so happy she can do it. Not having much planned sounds excellent. I have all these various checkups and things I have put off over the last year or so and now I am scheduling them. I feel over scheduled. And it’s weird to leave the house.

It really does feel strange to have lots of things scheduled again right? I never thought I could get used to this lockdown life, but having my planner filled again feels just strange. LOL!
When I have a photo of our girl dancing, I’ll definitely share it. 😉
The baby stage is so crazy fast and slow all at the same time! But there is very little better then baby snuggles. The dance class sounds fun and really having it outside sounds like extra fun. I have somehow never read Charlotte’s Web. I’ve seen the play a few times and the movie and I read a few chapters when I was substitute teaching a 1st grade class a number of years ago but never read the whole book. My son and I are reading Trumpet of the Swan by the same author for school and after a bit of a bumpy start are really liking it. I hope you have a great week!
Thanks Katherine. It’s definitely a confusing time. I want our boy to stay small forever, but not at all at the same time. LOL!
Happy reading.
Yes, try not to think about going back to work until you have to. Enjoy these next 7 weeks! I am glad you are well. I am also glad to hear your daughter enjoyed her first dancing class! My daughter is back to taking her dance classes in studio. Doing so by Zoom just hasn’t been the same. She enjoys dancing, but for her it’s always been more the social aspect she likes the most and so being back among her dance friends and seeing her teachers in-person has been so good for her.
I hope you have a great week, Maureen! Take care!
I’m definitely trying to not think about it at all. LOL!!
I think the social aspect is definitely an important part of dancing class. It was so nice to see our girl be with kids her age. I’ve been really scared this time during lock down would make socialing harder for her because she isn’t used to it. But so far she doesn’t seem to have a problem with it.
Have a great week and happy reading,
I can’t believe that your baby is already 10 weeks old. Where does the time go? I bet your daughter was adorable in her dance class. It is nice that she can look forward to going every week. I hope that you have a great week and enjoy your new books!
Yes crazy right?! It feels like last week when I started blogging again and was telling you guys all about our little boy.
Happy reading.
