This week was my first real week of maternity leave, and it has been a good one. With the exception of a little scare at the beginning of the week, but everything was checked out and all was well. I managed to find my rhythm with our little girl and being at home every day and it was really nice. Sure, I still need to remind myself to slow down at times and not clean the complete house in the morning.. LOL!! But things are going well.

Reading wise I’ve been on a role too. I already read four books so far this year, and I’m loving the time I have for my blog and reading. Obviously only when the little girl is asleep.. but it has been nice to not feel so behind.

One of my girlfriends came to visit on Thursday, and she had this sweet gift basket made for me and the baby. She said it was because I couldn’t have a real baby shower this time around, with COVID-19 etc. And it was just so sweet and she really had some fun and gorgeous stuff for our little boy.

On Friday, our little girl and I visited my mom and we had a nice morning catching up. And our little girl really enjoyed seeing her grandparents.

This weekend we have nothing planned really. Other than relaxing, and spending time with the three of us.

Lockdown wise, things are still going strong here. The new COVID cases aren’t really getting any less, so I don’t think things will be opening up soon. And for the other worldly news this week.. Well.. lets just say I’m staying in my little family, maternity leave bubble over here because looking at the news just makes me want to pull my hair.

I hope you’ll are doing good. What have you been reading?
