This week I had a movie night with one of my girlfriends. Well.. we talked a lot and in the end we run out of time and just watched a part of a re-run of Harry Potter. It was a fun night. On Tuesday I had lunch with my cousin, and we made a very tasty Banana Cake. I took it with me too work on Wednesday, and it was a success. I love cooking in our new kitchen. I also had to go to the dentist, which sucks, and I’ll have to go back each week for the next view weeks. Yikes!
Today, Saturday we went on a family trip to a zoo in Amsterdam. I hadn’t been there in years, and it was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed watching our little girl reacting to all the animals.
Next to all these fun things, I had to work three days which was also fun. I also started brainstorming about our very first big Christmas family dinner this year. Since we now have a much bigger house, and a gorgeous kitchen I really wanted to do Christmas at our home this year. Thankfully, my family said yes and I’m so excited!!
Overall.. This week was pretty good! How was your week? What did you read?

Making new traditions is awesome, Maureen! I’m so happy you’ll get to host Christmas in your new house and your new kitchen. I’m sure it’ll be wonderful.
And your daughter looks so big already. I love how you include what you do with her in your Sunday posts 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
It sure is Linda. I can’t wait to make some new traditions here. I’m also a little anxious though. LOL!!
Rosanne is getting big so damn fast it’s crazy! Time flies!
Have a great week Linda and happy reading!
Won’t it be fun to do Christmas at your new house? It will be fun to plan it, too.
I love to bake. You might share the recipe… That would be nice.
Have a great week!
Yes, so far I’m so super excited about celebrating Christmas at our place. I can’t wait!!
I’m thinking of doing a baking post soon.. I’ll let you know! 😉
Have a great week and happy reading!
Sounds like a good week over all! Yay for the Christmas plans! My sister is always trying to think of something different for us to do at Christmas but yet we always go back to just doing the same thing, and I honestly like just having a quiet day at home. I’d rather do the traveling bit at Thanksgiving than Christmas, but apparently I’m the only one who thinks that way and she’d still rather be somewhere else at Christmas! Lol.
Nice new reads! Both new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them both!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
It sure was a great week Jessica. And the time went by so quickly.
Doing the same thing, isn’t bad I think. Every year our Christmas is different. I hope we can start making a tradition of our own this year.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Sounds like you had a fun week.
I adore Samantha Young. I have been meaning to pick up Down London Road for a while now.
Happy reading!
I sure did!
Samantha Young is one of my favorite authors! And Down London Road is definitely a book I’d recommend. It’s amazing!

Ooh congrats on hosting Christmas this year! Hope it goes awesome. I always like hosting because it’s fun to have everyone over, and then we don’t have to do any traveling haha. I guess there’s a little self interest mixed in there lol.
Seriously though glad you had a good week. Banana bread= yum.
One Weel Til Christmas looks fun!
Thanks Greg. I can’t wait! But at the same time I hope it will be awhile so I can think of a great menu. LOL!
Have a great week and happy reading!
That many dental appointments doesn’t sound fun. 🙁 But the banana cake sound yummy! Exciting that you’ll be hosting Christmas this year. I host Thanksgiving at my house and Christmas is still at my mom’s. 🙂

Well now I want banana cake – or banana bread – or really just baked goods with banana in it in someway in general! The zoo sounds fun! We were going to go this week but I think the week is going to be busier then originally planned so we are moving it to next week. Have a great week!
Whahaha.. Banana is good in every dish! 😉
I hope you had a nice week, even if it was very busy!
Have a great week and happy reading!
