we had a nice and quiet week which worked perfectly for me, and was what I hoped
for since I’ve been participating in the HoHoHo Readathon. And I did pretty
good with that one (check out my blog tomorrow for the roundup).
it was time for our baby girl to have her first 2.5 hour try-out in the day
care where she will be going one day a week when I have to go back to work. I
was dreading that day all week. The idea of leaving my baby girl with complete
strangers was just horrible. But thankfully, from the moment we came in they
were all very nice and comforting. As a welcome baby girl got the ‘Guess How
Much I Love You’ book. As a book blogger and reader this was the perfect gift
obviously and I felt a little better. After an introduction, I had to leave.
Leaving was really really hard, but I went to my work where I hadn’t been in
months which gave me the perfect distraction. At 12.30 p.m. I could pick her up
again and she did great. Sigh.. Next Wednesday she has to go for 5 hours, and
the week after it’s going to be all day. Definitely some hard times for this
new mommy, but I know it has to be done and hopefully I’ll get used to it
someday.
Friday I
went to my sister in law and her little girl. We had a nice time. So fun to see
baby girl reacting to her little niece for the first time.
Saturday we’re celebrating my grandma’s birthday at my moms house. It will be
fun to see the whole family again.
wise I had a great week with some great reads. I still bought way to many
books, but I figure that when I get back to work at the 26th I’ll probably
won’t have time to buy more for a while. At least that’s what I tell myself!
LOL!!
more week in my maternity leave to go and I’ll be enjoying every minute of it.
My husband took time off from work as well, so we are going to enjoy time as a
family before we have to get used to our new routine of me working again. Can
you tell I’m struggling with the idea a little? LOL!! It will be okay.. I hope.

Taking kids to daycare is hard, sending wishes your way that it goes smoothly for you and her. Glad it started out well. 🙂
Happy birthday to your grandma too! Glad the HoHoHo went well for you- I was gonna do that one and just ran out of time and didn't pick out my Christmasy type books. Oh well, maybe next time. 🙂
Thanks Greg. It definitely is hard. I hope it gets easier. 🙂
I hope you'll be able to participate HoHoHoRAT next year.
Happy Reading!
That's hard having her stay with others. I think I only went to daycare when I was three. But I'm glad they're nice people there 🙂
It's definitely hard. But since she was born three weeks early, I already got more time at home with her than planned. But still.. it's hard.
Happy Reading!
I totally understand dreading leaving her with strangers. I hope it goes well with her and you. My wishes to your grandma.
Gayathri @ Elgee Writes
Thanks Gayanthri. Tomorrow is the second try out at the day care. I hope it goes just as well as the first time.
Happy Reading!
It's difficult to leave her with strangers. But the daycare seems to have nice people and I'm sure everything will go well 🙂
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
I sure hope so. It's still hard to just trust people you don't really know with the most important 'thing' in the world to me. But I just have to keep reminding myself it's good for her to be around other kids. 🙂
Happy reading.
I imagine it must be hard to get used to day care. I'm sure she will do great. Hope you have a fabulous last week off. Happy reading!
Thanks Natalie. So far it's been a pretty good week 🙂
Happy Reading!
Hope your baby girl will be doing okay!
Here’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays
Thanks Ronyell. Happy Reading!
The first day I took my daughter to daycare I stayed the entire day. I couldn't leave her. She was only 6 weeks old. She went 2 days a week for the first 2 weeks and then 4 days a week after that for the first year. She slept 10-12 and 3-5 every day. A great sleeper.
I hope this last week is great. I also did HoHoHoRAT. Try to fit in some reading! Anne – Books of My Heart
Ow wow.. 6 weeks old? Than I definitely can't complain. This Friday she will be 4 months.
Happy Reading!
Happy birthday to your grandma. I’m glad the readathon went well. Hopefully the baby enjoys daycare. I don’t have kids, but I can imagine that leaving them would be challenging. Have a good week!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks AJ. It's definitely challenging to take my baby to day care. But since I have to work to be able to give her everything I want.. I just have to remind myself it's for a good cause. LOL!
Happy Reading!
