This week was
just pretty damn perfect. (Except for me getting a bad cold, but let’s not
complain about that just yet.) My husband and I had the whole week off to do nothing and
just relax. Most times when we have a view days off, we still manage to have a very
busy schedule but this time.. we had almost nothing planned. And we needed
that.

On Monday
we had a major kitchen-cleaning-and-sorting-out-everything-day. We definitely
needed to do this since our kitchen was just to damn full. I’m really bad at throwing
away stuff, so we had several things in our kitchen that we definitely didn’t
need and that were just taking up a lot of space. Sometimes we even had two of those
things I didn’t need. It was crazy really. So on Monday we cleaned and I was on
a role with throwing stuff away. I was really proud of myself. We ended up getting
rid of seven garbage bags full with old, never used or just out-of-date stuff.
Crazy. We now have a very clean and organized kitchen and I just love it.

Tuesday we
had to drive several times to the junkyard to get rid off all those garbage bags
and other stuff. And after that we went out for lunch and went to the city to
buy a new garbage bin. I honestly thought that would be easier.

The rest ofour week was spend at home. We visited my mom, and we went to see my aunt. But
other than that I didn’t do much. Why? Well for one we definitely needed some
relaxing time, and unfortunately my cold that started last weekend only got
worse throughout the week. I ended up having to cancel the nursing event I
planned on going to on Wednesday, and although I did get out I didn’t do a lot
of anything else. I now look like Rudolph, which fits this time of year and I’m
filled with aspirin. Hopefully I feel better before I have to work again of Monday.
We did
manage to get our Christmas decorations up this week which I loved doing. With
my Kleenex in one hand, I managed to make our home pretty and ready for
Christmas. Yeah!!

Books & Blogging:
Because we
had a nice relaxing week at home I did manage to catch up on my reading. I read four books, made a lot of blog posts for December and did some

Love your tree! Ik weet precies hoe je je voelt, ik heb ook super veel moeite met dingen weggooien.
Vrijdag hadden we op werk een borrel en iedereen moest spullen van thuis meenemen waar je niks mee doet.
We hebben een spel gedaan (met dobbelstenen en kaartjes) en iedereen kreeg zo drie/vier spulletjes. Was echt leuk om te doen en ik ben van mijn ikea lijstjes af (Kon er echt niets mee! Haha). Ideetje?
En het sneeuwt! Eindelijk. Een fijn weekend!
Dankje. Ik ben ook echt wel blij met de boom. Al vindt onze kat hem ook erg leuk en daardoor moet ik hem elke dag weer een beetje opnieuw optuigen! LOL!!

I love gutting my kitchen, although I cook daily so things are consumed quickly, but just going through and matching lids and such always makes me feel good. The tree is adorable. Hope the cold is gone soon!
Well.. the garbage backs weren't really filled with eatible stuff. More cups and pans and old towels etc. And very old cocao powder. LOL!

We’re in a dire need to clean up our kitchen. I want everything cleaner and neater before Christmas. Lots of family and friends will come so the pressure is on these next two weeks. My kitchen must be MUCH smaller. I can't imagine seven garbage bags of stuff coming out of the kitchen. Good thing you cleared out that stuff! Don't feel bad – I am horrible at throwing stuff away too. Really bad. Your tree is so cute! I hope you start feeling better soon!
