Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to
share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and
things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog
for the week ahead.
Life:
working schedule, which made it kind of hard to plan things and relax.
up early to do some grocery shopping, and at the end of the morning I took the
train to Utrecht, to have lunch with a friend. We hadn’t seen each other in a
while, so it was very fun to catch up. We had lunch in a yogurt bar, which was
a first for me. But it was very tasty.
day and I planned to do some reading and learning for work. But I had this
moment on Wednesday evening, when I watched in the mirror and really hated
(Yep.. Hated) my hair. So Thursday morning I called a hairdresser that sounded
like a great one, but where I’d never been and asked for help. Thankfully they
had a spot open for 09.30 a.m. Well.. I had a great time. The hairdresser that
helped me really took the time for me and gave me great advice. I went for a
much shorter cut, and I got highlights. The appointment ended at 1.45 p.m. but
I’m so happy with the result. What do you guys think? Ow.. and I got my new
glasses Thursday afternoon too. Love them!
Friday was another workday. And today, Saturday, I’m
going to see Tarzan, and later today I have to work the evening shift. I’m so
curious about Tarzan. I can’t wait.
birthday. Should be fun.
I got some good reading time, although never enough and I received some awesome
emails. A lot of review requests, which I had to decline mostly because I honestly
don’t know where I can get the time. But
I also received an awesome email from the P.A. of one the authors which books I
completely fell in love it, Cate Beauman. She apparently loved my reviews of
two of her books, and now I received a third book to read and review. Love it!!
Sigh..

Other News:
- The world has definitely gotten a little darker this
week. My thoughts go out to all the people in Nice!! I’ve walked that beautiful
boulevard a view times.. It will never be the same! - Everywhere I look on the internet there’s talk about Pokemon Go. I loved Pokemon when I was younger, but this really is a little crazy. People are walking around with their phones on the most strange places. Even in hospitals people are going in to ‘catch’ Pokemon. Well.. I understand it’s new and probably fun.. but get a grip people!
- The TV-series Bones is approaching it’s last season. I’m so sad!! I’m still really behind on watching but still.. I can’t imagine not seeing Bones on television.
- Last but not least.. Sunday it was the European Football finale. Portugal won. But there was this cute video going around of a litlle Portugese boy giving a crying France guy a hug. Especially today, this video is even cuter.

I saw some of the Portugal/ France reactions on Twitter, and I love that video. So nice. It's stuff like that that is nice to see after all the bad stuff.
Looking forward to your thoughts on Tarzan. And I can't believe how crazy everyone is for Pokemon Go!! 🙂
We definitely need to keep looking at videos like this to keep remembering there's also a lot of good out there. I loved watching this one.
Thanks for stopping by Greg. Have a great week 😉
I just read a couple of books by Cate Beauman. One I reviewed with a giveaway on Thursday and have another coming up this Thursday. LOVED them, so stop in and enter the giveaway if you like. She is a must read author for me.

I'll definitely stop in. I'm totally addicted to Cate Beauman's books at the moment. I'll stop when I read every single one of her books! LOL!! 😀
Thanks for stopping by! 😉
I love the hair and the glasses!
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks. I'm really happy with my hair and I just love my glasses. 😀
Oh, I love that little quote about cleaning the house…lol. That's how I feel.
Love your new look…awesome hair style and glasses.
It has been so sad in the news, as over and over, violence erupts. When will it end?
Reading helps to remind us that some good still exists. Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Thanks Laurel.
It's definitely sad to watch the world at the moment. It's good to have people you love, and books and blogging to help you remember the world can still be good.
Love the hair and the glasses! I got my hair done this week as well. I turned 30 at the beginning of the year, but I've got so much gray coming in!!! I covered it with some blonde 😉
That quote is totally me today. We moved this month and for the most part the place is clean and all the boxes unpacked, but I refuse to do anymore.
Hope you have a great week!
Here's my Sunday Post.
Thanks Lillian. I hope you had a nice reading day without any cleaning! 😉 Sometimes we definitely need a day like that.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
