Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to
share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and
things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog
for the week ahead.
Another week has flown by and I’m so glad it’s weekend
again and I’m sitting here, working on my posts and later on I will be reading
a lot!! Yeahhhh!! Sigh.. And the weather here is amazing today so reading
outside it is!
hours of sleep I woke and decided it was time to do some exercise. The weather
was beautiful so I took out my mountain bike gear, my mountain bike and went
biking for almost an hour. Not very long, but since it was the first time I
went mountain biking in almost a year I think I did pretty good. In the evening
I finally had some reading time.
my Blog Ahead (mini) challenge. And it worked out great. I made all my posts
for the week and even managed to do two for next week. For me that’s a big
thing so I was really happy.
I’ve never been the sporty type but I definitely need to do more than I’m doing
now. So I joined my boyfriend’s gym. Exciting!!
The Netherlands. This is the day we remember all the people who lost their
lives for our freedom, in World War Two and in all the wars after that. I
worked the dayshift and in the evening me and my boyfriend went to the ceremony
my family gets invited to every year. It’s being held on the square that’s been
called after my Great Grandfather who was in the resistance and died on May 7th
1945. I’ve been going to this ceremony for as long as I can remember. I think
it’s very important to keep remembering.
shift and the weather outside was beautiful, so when my shift ended I was glad
to be going outside. My boyfriend came to pick me up and we went to my aunt.
She celebrated her 50th birthday with a Barbeque. It was really nice. I love
Barbecue’s. We only have a balcony on which Barbequing isn’t allowed, so
whenever we get invited to a Barbeque I’m super excited.
I worked out at ‘our’ gym. Whaha.. It sounds good. I’ve managed to keep up with
the treadmill and the home trainer. And I even did some weights for my stomach
and legs. Yep.. I’m on a roll. 😀
with my boyfriend, sun and blog. Life is good!!

Hurray for reading and good weather! And that's awesome that you got so ahead on posts 🙂 I get it because I'm just excited that I have the posts for this week all ready to go since even that's unusual for me, haha.
The Commemoration Day ceremony sounds really nice 🙂
And yay about the gym! And the BBQ. It just sounds like you had a fantastic week!
Getting ahead on my blog post really is a great feeling. I feel so relaxed already! LOL!!
Yep.. it was definitely a great week. Thanks for stopping by and Happy reading! 😉
Glad you had a good week. I enjoyed your day in the life post, sounds like a very fast paced job and I do imagine every day is different! My mom was in the hospital for a while and her nurses did an amazing job.
How cool that the square is named after your relative. You're right, it is so important to remember so it's nice that they do that. Have a great week!
Thanks Greg. I'm glad to hear the nurses where good for your mom.
Have a great week and Happy Reading! 😉
Happy you had such a good week!Enjoy your books and the week ahead!
Thank you Cindy! Have a great week too and Happy Reading!
Sounds like a lot of work and exercise Maureen so well done! I don't mind BBQs but as long as someone else is doing the BBQing!
Thanks Deborah. I really am kind of proud.. I've never exercised as much as these last weeks! LOL
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
You are killing the blog ahead challenge, Maureen! Way to go 🙂 And wow, mountainbiking, and signing up for a gym is great. I need to workout more, too, I think I'll start taking my bike to work again now that it isn't too cold outside.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Thanks Lexxie. I hope to do more for the Blog Ahead Challenge today. I really need this challenge to be successful since it will be really busy the upcoming two weeks.
Good luck with taking the bike to work. I really want to do that too, but it's just a little too far and I would be taking a lot of dark and bushy roads. But who knows.. Maybe one day!! 😉
Happy Reading!!
It's great when the weather cooperates…and when you have good books to read. Enjoy your new week….and your new arrivals. They are both new to me, but I hope you love them.
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
Thanks Laurel. The weather is still good, but unfortunately it's going back to cold weather soon. At least that's what the weatherman says.
Happy Reading!
I hope to squeeze in some reading today too. 🙂 Your bike ride sounds like so much fun! My mom brought me her bike when she last visited in March, but I still haven't pumped air into the tires to ride it. It's been 20+ years since I last got on a bicycle. I hope I remember how to ride it!
Sounds like the Blog Ahead challenge was a success! I had hoped to do some of that this past week, but it didn't happen. I'm behind on my review writing.
Commemoration Day sounds like a very special day. We have something similar in the U.S., which will be coming up the end of this month. Your Great-Grandfather sounds like he was an amazing man.
I hope you enjoy your new books! Chasing Embers sounds especially good. Have a great week, Maureen!
I always heard you never forget how to ride a bicycle! 😉 Good luck!!
I hope to do some more for the blog ahead challenge today!!
Happy Reading!
You had a busy week, but it sounds very satisfying. Keep up the good work on the exercise front. *two thumbs up* That's the next thing on our list to help with my husband's Diabetes. Though he's one of the rare Type 2 that is within range weightwise. He could lose about 7 lbs and build some muscle though. I'm a whole other story. I need to lose a lot of weight. With luck the new diet and exercise plan (when we come up with one) will take care of that. 🙂
It really was busy week. But I feel very good about the exercising. It was definitely a first for me! 😀
I think if you really put your mind to it.. a new diet and exercise plan will work. You can do it!! 😉
Happy Reading!
An hour of biking sounds pretty good to me! Especially after a year off! Congrats on joining a gym too! I hope you meet your goals! 😀 Enjoy your new books! Chasing Embers looks awesome 😀
Here is my Weekly Recap!
Thanks Tracy! I really hope I do too. But I'm feeling good about it and thats half the work right! 😀
Have a great week and Happy Reading!!
Mountain biking and a gym!? You go girl! This just inspired me to get more active. Hope you enjoy your new books and looking forward to reading your reviews on them 🙂
