This has been another crazy busy week. I didn’t even manage to visit all of you guys and I’m so sorry. Our little girl suddenly refuses to sleep during the day, and that is the time I usually manage to do some blog visiting. She has the age to stop taking naps, but I was enjoying that little me moment. LOL!! I’m figuring out another time to visit you guys.. so this week will be better!
On Monday we had a bank holiday so my husband also didn’t have to work. We did another zoo visit, and in the evening my brother in law visited. It was a fun but intense day. On Tuesday I took the kids to see my aunt and uncle. They live in the country, and have a lot of outdoor space to walk and play. Unfortunately the weather was dreadful. It rained the whole time we were there, so we only got to stay indoors. But we definitely had a good time.
On Wednesday I didn’t feel that well. Our little girl was at daycare, so I was able to spend the day with our baby boy lying on the couch. I don’t know what I had, but I felt much better after taking it slow that day. On Thursday I took our little boy to the city hall to get him a passport. We haven’t got any traveling plans, but I feel better just having the possibility to go places if we want to. And he can use this one for five years so it’s nice to have this taking care of now I still have lots of free time. In the evening my girlfriend came over for dinner and we watched The Greatest Showman. Love that movie!!
On Friday our girl went to her dance class, which went really well. This time she kissed me goodbye and walked in all by herself. So stinking cute. After the dance class we picked up my girlfriend and we went shopping for baby clothes. We had lunch in a restaurant, which we can do now COVID restrictions are being eased. It felt so good to be able to be around people again. And I ended up getting the kids some great new summer clothes.
Today, Saturday, a acquaintance of my husband was supposed to visit. But he didn’t show up and we ended up going to IKEA. I got myself a cart so I can make my own TBR Cart. I saw pictures of other book lovers who had a cart like this on Instagram.. and I really wanted one too. Hopefully I get to set it up tomorrow. 😀 (Follow me on Instagram to see the result :D)
Tomorrow, Sunday, my husband’s friend is visiting with his girlfriend so it’s another busy day. But hopefully I get to blog and read a little too in the afternoon.
This next week hopefully will be less crazy. Our baby boy is going for his first hour at the daycare, and I’m just not ready! LOL!! After this week he will go an hour longer every week, till June 21st when I’m going back to work and he will be going all day just like my daughter. Sigh.. I thought having a second kid would make the first time back to work easier.. Well, it doesn’t.
I hope you guys are well. What have you been up too?

Sounds like you’ve been busy! Hope you have a great weekend. Can you believe I’ve never been in an IKEA?
It is nice being able to get out a bit again! 🙂
Really? I definitely love to go to IKEA. Not only to buy stuff.. just to look around. 😀
Have a great week and happy reading Greg.
Wow that is another busy week for you, but great to hear you’ve been able to spend more time out and about around people. Take care, happy reading and I hope next week is a little quieter for you. 🙂
Yes, I’ve been loving the fact that we get to go outside again. So good 😀
Life sounds busy on your side! I’m glad you didn’t come down with anything serious. Maybe your body just needed a bit of rest.
Good luck with you upcoming week and I hope you get some more time for blog hopping!
Yes, I think that was it. I’m not very good in sitting still, accept for when I’m reading ;).
Happy Reading Mareli
I’m having the same problem with my 2 year old! She doesn’t want to sleep anymore. Luckily, she was so tired yesterday that she’s sleeping in this morning. It’s impossible to get things done when they don’t sleep.
Those 2 years olds sure do keep us on our toes right?! Yesterday our girl slept a little in the car. I stayed in the car just so she could sleep a little longer! LOL
Wow. That was a busy week. I hope this week will be less hectic for you.
Nice new read too! That’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it once you get to read it!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thanks Jessica 😉
I’m glad you are getting to do some things before going back to work. I can’t believe it’s the end of May. I was lucky my daughter napped right up until the day before she started all day kindergarten. She loved napping but was a lightening bolt when she was awake.

Crazy how fast time is flying by right?!
I’ve never been much of a sleeper.. So I was happy that our girl seemed to enjoy it more. Until now I guess. LOL!
Last week was busy for me too and I didnt have time to visit everyone either. I am yet to catch up on The Greatest Showman, sadly.
I do hope you’ll get to watch the Greatest Showman soon. It such a fun movie. 😉
Your daughter has no idea what she is missing, naps are a dream come true 🙂 With my kids we transitioned it to quiet time so they had to stay in their rooms but could read or listen to books, or colour, or do puzzles etc
Good luck with the daycare transition.
Wishing you a great reading week
LOL!! It’s definitely a shame we only seem to appreciate taking naps when we can’t take them anymore. :D:D
I love the sound of quiet time. I’ll definitely have to try that one.
Happy reading.
