My Review:
when I was asked to review this book, I didn’t really know what I could expect.
But when I read the book description and saw the beautiful cover I knew I just
had to read this book. This book sounded like one I would really enjoy and I couldn’t
wait to start reading. (‘Slow Burn’ is the fifth book in the Driven series but
can definitely be read as a standalone.)
sister a couple of months ago and the pain of the loss is eating her away.
Haddie’s way of dealing with her loss is to enjoy one night stands. No pressure
and no strings. But one night, at Haddie’s best friend’s wedding, all she can
think about is finding a distraction for her hurt. Beckett Daniels happens to
be the perfect distraction. One night with him will be perfect. But
unfortunately for Haddie, Beckett isn’t easy to forget. Especially since he doesn’t
want her to forget the connection they shared.
is: WOW!! This book definitely is an emotional rollercoaster. From the moment I
started reading this book I couldn’t stop reading. I was just addicted to
Haddie and Beckett and I just didn’t want it to end.
to have one night stands, I could definitely understand Haddie’s decision. But
Haddie and Beckett where so damn perfect for each other that I was really
hoping Haddie would open her heart for the handsome ‘Country’ boy.
Bromberg that I honestly cried for her. I could feel her pain and was just
really hurting beside her.
even then you still really don’t want it to end. I loved this book and I loved
the emotions. K. Bromberg truly did an excellent job and I can’t love this book
more than I do now! I loved the writing style. This book was sexy but not too
much, it’s really more about the amazing connection Haddie and Beckett share. And
the ending… boy… I seriously screamed!!
novels. It’s just perfect. I’ll definitely be reading the other books in this
series!
