Being
with the same man since she was 18, 26 year old widow Jazz Mickelson is hoping
to catch up on all the life experiences that could have been hers had she not
leapt into a committed relationship so young.
Julian St. Sauveur is looking for three things: romance, comfort and trust. He
mistakenly thought he had them once many years ago. He sees potential for him
and Jazz but knows it is too soon for her.
Will she accept his unusual proposition, one that allows him to hold on to her
while she catches up on life?…and will she choose him after experiencing all
the wonders that await her?
Find out as Jazz and Julian explore their potential…

A couple
of weeks ago, Peyton Sloane approached me with the question if I was interested
in reading and reviewing her book ‘Exploration’. The Blurb of this book showed
a lot of potential (LOL) so I decided to give it a try. A couple of days ago I started
reading it.
In ‘Exploration’
we meet Jazz and Julian. Jazz is a twenty six year old with a lot of history.
She is recently widowed and now she is on her way to Paris to have an amazing
and adventures vacation. But what Jazz didn’t expect was meeting thirty two
year old Julian. Julian is this rich hard-working and gorgeous man who seems to
be afraid of nothing. When Julian sees Jazz for the first time he is immediately
fascinated with this beautiful woman. The chemistry between Jazz en Julian is immediately
intense and soon they can’t stay away from each other. But Jazz is scared and doesn’t
want to dive into another relationships. Soon Jazz and Julian agree to just see
what happens and explore each other’s potential.
What I
really liked about this book was the character Julian. From the very first page
I really liked him. He was funny, intense, sexy and just a little weird. He
works hard for everything he has and when he meets Jazz he is immediately
hooked. I really liked how he tried to make everything great for Jazz. Julian
tried to keep his feelings a secret because he didn’t want to scare Jazz away
and I really enjoyed reading that.
This
book takes place in Paris. And I just love that city. Paris is such a romantic,
beautiful and mystique place and I loved reading about Jullian and Jazz
exploring this city. Their running trips to the Eifel tower where really great
to read about. And having been in Paris, two times myself, I could really
picture the places they visited. (Not all of them :D)
But
there was one big downfall for me in this book. I like reading ‘intense’ and ‘sexy’
books (I mean look at my ‘Read’ list) but this book was filled with a little too
much sex for me. I kind of felt like this book was to fixed on these sex
scenes. I sort of lost the romantic feeling which I love most in these kind of
books.  And the proposition Julian does?
That really bumped me out. I think I’m just a little too old fashioned for this
book. I really wish I felt differently because I really liked Julian St. Sauveur.
This
book is definitely one to check out for yourself. I have such mixed feelings
about this one…

About the Author:

I have
been an extreme bibliophile since I was a kid, precociously finishing my first
read of “Gone with the Wind” at age 12. I’ve had lots of stories
whirling around in my head over the years and am grateful for the opportunities
afforded by the relatively new world of self-publishing.

Personally, I am a wife, career woman and mom to 2 amazing little divas, hence
their photo on my page, rather than mine, they are WAY cuter…

I ride a Harley, have ink, a smart mouth and a dirty mind – this latter always
with apologies to my mom who wishes she could wash it out with soap!

This journey of writing I am on is by far the most landmark moment in my life.
I will always hope that my characters and their stories will bring as much
enjoyment to my readers as I get from writing them!
