It’s been kind of a crazy week over here. On Monday and Tuesday we still had one sick kiddo. Our little girl had some kind of stomach bug, so I had to stay home from work, but still had to work a bit from home while making sure not everything was covered in puke. It was an interesting day!
Thankfully the rest of the week the kids got over their bugs. But somehow I kept feeling like I was behind things all week.
Thursday the 2023 HoHoHo Readathon started! I love this time of year and I’m so excited to be one of the Elves again this year. Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up today!
On Saturday Sinterklaas arrived in Holland. It’s a Dutch children’s holiday and its always a bit nerve-wracking for the kids, but also fun. The upcoming weeks will be filled with school activities surrounding Sinterklaas, and then on December 5th it’s his ‘birthday’ and we have this evening planned with family. I’m much more of a Christmas person though! LOL!

Sorry to hear one of the kiddos was still sick! I hope they’re feeling better now! And wow, that’s a long haul for Sinterklaas celebrations! I know in my family we celebrated his “early” arrival on the 5th with stockings. I think the way my family spun it was that this was his checking up on us. I think when I was younger I thought St. Nick (as we celebrated his day on the 6th) was like a cousin to Santa himself or something like that! Lol.
Nice new reads! I am sooooo behind with JLA’s books! I wish that woman would write a little slower sometimes! Lol. That or my reading faster! I’m still like 2 books behind in FBAA and I just read the first Flesh and Fire book this year so I’m already behind in that one too! And I still have one back series of hers I’ve been meaning to read for ages now! Lol.
Hope you enjoy all the new reads!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I’m totally behind on Jennifer’s books as well! I don’t think that woman ever sleeps to be honest. LOL!! But I always love her books, so I try to just read them as fast as I can. Which isn’t all that fast at all! :D:D
Happy reading.
Enjoy your Sinterklaas celebrations
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you 😀
So glad they are feeling well and can enjoy the celebrations.

Thanks Anne. It felt like they where sick for sooooo long! LOL!
I have to get moving on the HoHoHo readathon! I’ve hardly been reading!
Hope you have a nice week and good luck with Sinterklaas!!
Good luck with HoHoHoRAT Greg 😉
I hope the kids are feeling better! The best part of my job is that it can’t be done from home. I’m forced to leave work at work. Have a great week!
That’s definitely a good thing.. but not always. I used to have a job that I couldn’t do at home.. Which meant when the kids where sick I had to take a day off.. Now I can keep my free days for fun moments 😀
I’m sorry to hear the kids have been ill, that is always so tough on mom. I hope the family enjoys your Sinterklaas celebrations. I am enjoying the Ho Ho Ho Readathon and hope you do as well.
Thanks Carla. Thankfully they are all better now!
