This week has been a bit crazy. Working five days, including this weekend.. It’s been a ride for sure!
But… I’m super excited to be able to share with you guys that I have a new job!! OMG.. I got the news Tuesday (your positive vibes definitely helped 😉 ) and I still can’t really believe it. After working in a hospital for the last 13 years, I’m leaving for a job with regular hours and no weekends or holidays. I’m so excited to finally get some stability with my workdays, something I was desperately craving with our kids. But it’s still a bit scary and sad too. Working in my current department has been my life for so long, and I’ve worked with some of my colleagues for 10 years. Leaving will be an adjustment. But I’m mostly excited and really relieved. Starting January I’m going to work as a Youth Nurse in the Municipal Health Service. Something totally different than what I’m doing now but I’m super excited and looking forward to this new adventure.
You can imagine the rest of my week has pretty much revolved around my new job. Since our kids are currently at day care in the hospital I work at, I’m looking for a new day care near our home. It’s definitely been busy and overwhelming. But I’m managing it the best I can. I just didn’t have a lot of reading time left. But hopefully this week I will catch up again.
How have you guys been? What have you been reading?

Thank you Greg.
Aah gefeliciteerd! That’s amazing news! It can be super tough to leave a place you’ve worked that long but it sounds like the new job will give you the kind of schedule you’ve been craving. I hope you enjoy all of your new books and good luck with finding a day care as well. Have a lovely weekend and then week 🙂

Dankjewel 😀 It’s definitely going to be tough! But I’m mostly excited.
Happy reading.
Congratulations on the new job, Maureen! That’s wonderful news. And the more regular hours will be a welcome change, I am sure. Good luck sorting out day care.
Thanks Tanya. I’m so excited and relieved. It will be so good for me and our family to get regular hours.
Huge congratulations on your new job! 🎉 I am so pleased you have found a job where the hours will suit you and your family better. All the very best with it all. As for my week, it has been mainly work, except for getting a much deserved hair cut. 💇♀️ Take care and happy reading! 😃
Thank you Jessica. I’m glad to read you got your hair cut. Good for you 😉
That’s great about the new job with regular hours! I hope it all works well for you. The first daycare my daughter was in was at the hospital even though I didn’t work there. Is it close enough for them to stay there or is it only for those who work at the hospital? Congrats!

Thank you Anne. Unfortunately the daycare is only for people who work in the hospital. And it’s also a 30 minute drive from our home. To my new job I’m going to be able to go by bike. 😀
I am so happy for you! A regular Monday-Friday gig! That is awesome!
Thank you. I’m so happy!
Congrats on the new job.
Thank you
Congratulations on the new job, Maureen! This is wonderful news! It sounds like you have some time to really vet daycares, which is good. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading!
Thank you Wendy. I definitely have some time thankfully
