was pretty good, especially reading wise. I read two books I absolutely loved
and couldn’t put down and I was able to write my reviews and make my blog
posts. I’m super happy with that. It also meant I kept buying and requesting
books, but there are worst things I could do! LOL!!
Wednesday a view of my colleagues came by to see Rosanne for the first time.
They brought a big basket with gifts and it was really fun to see them and hear
about how everything is going at work. I’m still glad that I won’t have to go
there for another 5 weeks but slowly on I’m disliking the idea less and less. Rosanne
definitely got a lot of fun new gifts.
my mom came over and we made dinner for our man. We talked and walked through
town a little. It was a fun day.
Thursday I also shared a post here ‘How Are You Keeping Track of Your To-ReviewBooks?’ I would love to hear your opinions. I could definitely use some great
ideas.
girl is getting big so fast. She now is able to pull her head up when she is
lying on her tummy and she enjoys looking around her. This weekend I plan on
updating her Baby Book before I forget all these big steps.

Rosanne is so precious! How nice of your coworkers! Enjoy the time off as much as you can.
I hope you enjoy Hidden. I really want to read that one as well. Fight or Flight also sounds really good.
I hope you have a great week!
Thanks Wendy. I'm definitely trying to enjoy every moment as much as I possible can. Time goes by way to fast! Fight or Flight was really really good! I loved it.
Happy reading!
I never kept a baby book with my little dude (it's empty on a shelf) and part of me regret's it but the other part of me thinks I've never had a burning urge to remember all the little things like that so I'm not too worried… I do wonder if it'll come back to haunt me later though?
It's lovely of your colleagues to bring the gifts. You're going to have a supportive community around you when you return to work which is priceless. 🙂
I love working on my baby book and I love the idea of her reading it one day. It's especially fun to see how much and how fast she is growing. I think I see it, but when I go through the book I realize she is growing even faster than I think. But I'm really nostalgic like that. LOL!
Happy reading!
Aww how fun. 🙂 Glad your books were good this week! I think Hidden looks good, I like that cover- looks like she's on the run!
That cover is definitely what grabbed me first. So far it's a good read.
Happy reading!
Little Roseanne is precious and I see she already has a book! It sounds like you've had a productive and fun week:)
My Sunday Post
Rosanne already has lots of books! 😀 I've been reading to her since I was pregnant with her. LOL!
Happy Reading!
So sorry! I meant to say Rosanne.
No worries 😉
Little Roseanne is gorgeous! I love seeing her surrounded by her goodies.
I remember going back to work after the babies…I took a long sabbatical after my fourth one: two years! But it was hard, then, to get back in the groove.
Enjoy your time away…and thanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks Laurel. It will definitely be hard to leave Rosanne and go back to work. Thankfully I won't be working as much as I did.
Happy reading!
Baby books are super adorable and it will have such memories for after they have grown up. Keep smiling and be happy Maueen.
Gayathri @ Elgee Writes
Thanks Gayathri. And it's so much fun to work on the baby book.
Happy reading!
Awe, that was wonderful of your colleagues. I read and loved both books you bought and want the holiday one!
It really was. Our baby girl definitely got a lot of beautiful gifts.
Happy reading!
I really enjoyed Hidden by Zanetti.
I have a two part system for tracking my books to review. First, I have Goodreads shelves divided by 0now, 1tt, 2get, 3tbr. Then there are genres, a favorites shelf, a KFREE shelf, a library shelf, challenge shelves etc. In planning what to read I just put every ARC on the 0now shelf and worked from that list. They went on other shelves as well for genre. Kfree ad 1TT organize are the Kindle freebies I most want to read next, unless I'm in a mood and then I might search by genre if nothing on 1tt interests me.
Second, I added a spreadsheet to further organize my 0now shelf basically, and include some of the 2get items. I have colums for Title, Format, Review Date, Release Date, Audio length in Minutes, a check box for if I've created the post shell. At the top of the sheet I have ARCS, mostly audios, which have not been scheduled into the middle section. The middle section is in Review Date order. I list all my review dates into the review date column and fill things in. There may be a few ARCs which I have requested but don't have so those titles are in red, they are black when I have them. When I have read the book but not written the review I highlight the title with a pink highlighter on the paper copy. (Yea I print a paper copy weekly which I scribble on all week and then update and print fresh)
So that's what I do. If you have any questions, I could try to answer them. It's hard to explain the details in a few words. Anne – Books of My Heart
Wow! And I thought I was good at organizing. But you take it to a whole new level. Impressive. And thanks for the tips. It sounds like a good idea to use Goodreads for my TBR. I heard it from another blogger too. I definitely should try it out. I also but a notebook to use. But that's just because I loooove notebooks and using pen and paper. I'm not sure it's handy to use yet.
Thanks again and happy reading!
Rosanne is adorable! Hope you have a great week!
Thanks Yvonne. I hope you have a great week too. 😉
