Ultra-private,
ridiculously handsome Crown Prince Arthur has always gotten by on his charm.
But that won’t be enough now that the Royal Family is about to be ousted from
power once and for all. When Prince Arthur has to rely on the one woman in the
kingdom who hates him most, he must learn that earning the love of a nation means
first risking his heart.

Twenty-eight-year-old Tessa Sharpe, a.k.a. The Royal Watchdog, hates
everything about Prince Arthur. As far as she’s concerned, he’s an arrogant,
lazy leech on the kingdom of Avonia. When he shocks the nation by giving her the
keys to the castle, Tessa has no choice but to accept and move in for two
months. It’s lust at first sight, but there’s no way she can give in to her
feelings—not if she wants to have a career or a shred of pride left when her
time at the palace ends…

Can two natural enemies find their forever in each other’s arms, or will
they ruin each other to save themselves?

My Review:

I am one
of those people who really love royals. Here in the Netherlands we have a royal
family too and I just love them. And obviously I love the British royals too.
So it was around the time when Prince Harry and Megan Markle got engaged when I
saw the cover of this book and just knew I had to read it. So I bought it and
was super excited to start reading.
In ‘The
Royal Treatment’ we meet Crown Prince Arthur. Arthur is arrogant, and has
always gotten by on using his charms and looks. But when the Royal Family is
about to lose there hold on the throne. Arthur knows, he must do something
drastic to win back the hearts of his nation.
Meanwhile
Tessa Sharpe, a.k.a. The Royal Watchdog is doing her best to let everyone know
how much she thinks the royals are money digging people who don’t care about
their nation at all. As a blogger Tessa is gaining more and more followers. So
when Tessa receives an invitation by Prince Arthur himself to stay at the
palace for two months to let her see what it is they do all day, she is very
surprised but obviously can’t say no.
Everything
I expected ‘The Royal Treatment’ to be, definitely came true. This book was
filled with humor, romance and definitely some teary eyed moments too. ‘The
Royal Treatment’ was the perfect relaxing fun read before bed and I easily got
lost in Melanie Summers writing.
Although
Prince Arthur was definitely an arrogant ass of a man, especially in the
beginning, you could see there was more to him than we got to see at first. And
I loved his character and getting to know him more. I especially loved the way
he was with Tessa.
Tessa was
a character I definitely loved. Her character is easy to relate too. She is
still searching for her dream job, is really clumsy but still doesn’t let that
stop her for doing what she wants. I just loved her. Her family was rather
horrible if you ask me though.
The
romance between Arthur and Tessa definitely made you swoon. And I loved the way
we got to read this story to both there point of views. This definitely made
this book even more enjoyable.
Yes, ‘The
Royal Treatment’ was a great read I really enjoyed. I definitely need to get my
hands on the second book in this series.

About the Author:

Melanie
Summers made a name for herself with her debut novel, Break in Two, a
contemporary romance that cracked the Top 10 Paid on Amazon in both the UK and
Canada, and the top 50 Paid in the USA. Her highly acclaimed Full Hearts Series
was picked up by both Piatkus Entice (a division of Hachette UK) and
HarperCollins Canada. Her first three books have been translated into Czech and
Slovak by EuroMedia. Since 2013, she has written and published eight novels and
three novellas. She has sold over a quarter of a million books around the
globe.

Melanie
Summers currently resides in Edmonton, Canada, with her husband, three young
children, and the cutest one-eyed dog ever. When she’s not writing romance
novels, she loves reading (obviously), snuggling up on the couch with her
family for movie night (which would not be complete without lots of popcorn and
milkshakes), and long walks in the woods near her house.

Melanie
also spends a lot more time thinking about doing yoga than actually doing yoga,
which is why most of her photos are taken ‘from above’. She also loves shutting
down restaurants with her girlfriends. Well, not literally shutting them down,
like calling the health inspector or something. More like just staying until
they turn the lights off.

Melanie is
a member of the Romance Writers of America, as well as the International
Women’s Writing Guild.
