an endless string of parties and an even longer string of girls. Enjoying the
perks with none of the emotional mess, he’s convinced everyone that he’s
satisfied – everyone but himself.
Samantha Schultz has moved on with her life. Finishing her student teaching and
living with her boyfriend, she’s deluded herself into believing she’s content.
But there is one boy she never forgot-her first love – and she keeps the memory
of him locked up tight. She will never allow any man to break her the way
Christopher did.
When Christopher’s sister and her family move into a new neighborhood,
Christopher is completely unprepared to find Samantha living at the end of the
street. Memories and unspent desires send them on a collision course of sex,
lies and lust. But when guilt and fear send Samantha running, Christopher will
have to fight for what has always been his.
My Review:
Since this book sounded so exciting I put it on my To Read list as soon as
possible. This is the second book by A.L. Jackson I read and the third one in
the Closer To You series.
Christopher Moore. Years ago Samantha and Christopher believed they would spend
the rest of their lives together, but circumstances changed everything. Now
years later Samantha and Christopher meet again and there is a lot of hurt and
frustration left between the two of them. But the feelings they ones shared
aren’t forgotten and now fate keeps putting them together. Slowly on they begin
to reconnect and soon they find out that they both never really moved on. But
can they really forget what happened?
Me Recklessly’ can easily be read as a standalone. There are characters from
the first two books in the Closer To You series mentioned in this book, and
although it’s really fun to know their pasts and their own stories, it isn’t
necessary to read and understand thus book.
A.L. Jackson is able to pull me inside this story from the very first page on.
I couldn’t put this book down and I didn’t want it to ever end.
hidden behind these pages and the author makes sure you feel them all. I felt
like I was sitting in a rollercoaster while reading this book.
be more different from each other. Their families, their lives, their
character.. They are definitely opposites. But they also have this deep and
intense bond. It was beautiful to read about.
her boyfriend she really doesn’t feel much passion for. And she is really a
little to ‘soft’. Partly because of how Christopher acted all those years ago,
and partly because she settles for a life without passion. Understandable after
what she went through.. but also a little frustrating to read about at times.
Especially the way Samantha let her boyfriend Ben talk to her at times. I
really wanted to shake some sense into her and tell her to speak up for
herself.
really know how to change. But when Samantha walks back in his life, he slowly
begins to be the person he ones was and tries to win back ‘his’ girl.
Jackson this book is really intense and moving. I loved reading about the
connection between Samantha and Christopher. I couldn’t get enough of them and
I was really sad when the book ended. A.L. Jackson I definitely able to create
characters that stick with you for a long while.

including ‘Pulled’, ‘When We Collide’, ‘If Forever Comes’, ‘Come to Me Quietly’,
and ‘Come to Me Softly’.
She first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and
college student. She filled the journals she carried with short stories and
poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in
day-to-day life.
Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two
closest friends and, with their encouragement, this story became her first full
length novel. A.L. now spends her days writing in Southern Arizona where she
lives with her husband and three children.

Aw second chance romances can be really fun when they are well done and this one sounds like it is. I detest insta-love and at least I know in second chance romances that I won't run into one. Love how the author made you feel all the feels with this series 😀
Second change romances really are awesome to read about. They always have this connection that's just so fun to read. This one was made up just perfectly 😀
I didn't love this one as much as the first, I struggled with her actions regarding her current boyfriend. However, Jackson's writing is beautiful and she really does make you feel for the characters.
The whole relationship with her current boyfriend really was odd. I also didn't like it really, but mostly because I just wanted her to stand up to him. I'm so glad I started reading A.L. Jackson's books, wouldn't have want to miss it.
This sounds like a fun second chance romance and it's neat it can be read as a standalone. It does can be a bit tricky when another boyfriend is involved. I am glad to hear you enjoyed this one so much! I love that feeling of being hooked from the first page.
It really was a fun read. It also really made me want to check out more books by this author, because I think she really has an awesome way of writing.
