The
Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. |
I can’t believe the first week of January is already
over. It seems like only yesterday that I posted my very first Sunday Post and
now it’s already time for the second one. Man.. It’s hard to keep up at times!
enough time to do everything I wanted, but it was a good week. Monday my friend
came over for lunch and to catch up. I made carpaccio sandwiches and they were
definitely a success. Monday evening it was time to start my first workday of
the week (and the year), the nightshift. I only had three nightshifts, most
time I have four, so that was nice. The shifts were busy and the last one was
just crazy, so I was glad that I was done with them on Thursday morning.
and spend the afternoon reading and just doing nothing. Thursday night it was
time for my first Yoga lesson in almost four months. It was really good and
fun, and I was happy to see that I didn’t forget everything. But unfortunately Friday
morning my whole body was aching. I
think that’s my punishment for staying away for so long. LOL!!
in this cute little restaurant we’ve never been before. The evening was spend
with my man and watching Homeland (we’ve just started so we’re in season two). Great
series!
evening shift. So that’s from 3.30 p.m. till 11.30 p.m. These are my least
favorite shifts, but I’ll get through them. And honestly when I’m at work they
aren’t so bad. I just don’t like not seeing my man at all and I really miss our
evenings when I have to work. And I don’t get to read a lot when I have the evening
shift. The morning and afternoon I do have free when I work the evening shift, are
always so busy with stuff at home or working on my blog. My evenings are when I
normally read the most.. I love reading on the couch with a blanket, a cup of
hot tea and a soft light or candle light. Sigh.. Well.. Next week again! 😀

Hi Maureen! I've had a month off the Sunday Post (and blogging in general) so don't think we've met!
It sounds like you had a busy week – on and off the blog.
I haven't done yoga for ages but it's something I really want to get back into as well!
Hi Deborah, Nice to meet you! I really had a crazy week, but I'm getting used to it! LOL.
I hope you'd be able to get back to yoga. I really enjoy it.
Sounds like you had a truly busy week. I am glad you got time to read though. Have a great week ahead.
Thank you. I hope you have a great week to 😉
I am curious to read your thoughts on First Touch! I have heard good things!
Thank you. I can't wait to start reading it. It sounds like a great read!
The week did seem to fly by, didn't it? I have never tried Yoga, although at some point I would like to. I am glad you have gotten back into it! Tomorrow will be my first day of waking up extra early to get in my workout before work. As I increase my exercise time, I'll have to get up earlier. I'm trying not to think about that yet. I haven't read anything by Jayne Ann Krentz before, but I have been wanting to.
Have a great week!
Yoga really is fun but I really didn't expect to enjoy it when I first started. I'm not a spiritual person and considered myself way to down-to-earth to get the yoga stuff. But it's a lot of fun and really feels like a great exercise.
I really recommend Jayne Ann Krentz's books.. She writes great books.
Good luck with getting up early again 😉
Sheesh, busy week! I took a yoga class when I was in college – I hated it haha. I do use some of the poses when I need a good stretch though!
Here is my The Sunday Post!
Haha Yoga definitely isn't for everybody. I really didn't thought I would like it.. But I definitely do. Have a great week 😉
First Touch looks really interesting. What a beautiful cover! Hopefully, you'll have more downtime this week to relax a bit.
I really love the cover of 'First Touch' too. Can't wait to start reading.
Thanks Tiffany. I really do hope I have more free time too. Enjoy your week.
Being sore is good! It means you worked hard the day before 😀 I don't think I'd have the patience for yoga though.
That whole little scene you described of being wrapped up in a blanket with soft lighting sounds so cozy! I can see why you don't like having your reading time taken away 😛
Have a great week!
I still feel a little sore though. LOL!!! I really hope I can have my little reading scene more this week! 😉
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your week!
I had a great week, and I enjoy reading during daylight for better lighting, and I like Eloisa James!!
Herehttp://thebestbasicblogger.blogspot.com/2016/01/sunday-post-5.html is my post
I'm glad you had a good week. Daylight reading is also definitely great. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of reading time during the day.
Have a great week 🙂
I do most of my reading at night too, so I totally relate. I don't like being gone then either, unless it's something fun. My American Duchess looks good. I hope you have a nice week even with having to get back into the norm!
My Weekly Update
Nights should be longer though!! They always go by so soon. Tonight is my first night back at home so I'm gonna spend it reading all night 😀
Enjoy your week!
