After devouring all the books in the Cloverleigh Farms series, and the Cloverleigh Farms Next Generation series by Melanie Harlow, I knew I wanted to read this book when I saw the sign up. So when I got the opportunity to sign up for an ARC of Tempt, I simple couldn’t resist. And when I received a copy on my kindle, I was super exited and started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘Tempt’ we read the story of Millie and Zach. They meet in a bar in New York and agree on spending one night together. Something that is unlike both of them. That night was amazing, and they both wished they could have had more time together. Never would they have expected to meet again. And definitely not on Zach’s son’s wedding. There are a lot of reasons why they should stay away from each other. For one Zach is fifteen years older, and secondly Millie is Zach’s son’s ex-girlfriend. But somehow saying goodbye to one another seems impossible.

At first I didn’t really know if this book would really work for me. Sure, Millie and Zach had this amazing chemistry between them from the very first page, but their first night together seemed a bit too much and too rough for me. But right after thinking that, this book started to get better and better. And before I knew what was happening I was completely hooked to the story of Millie and Zach.

Millie and Zach are two totally different characters, living two totally different lives. But they meet one evening after seeing each other in a hotel bar. And from that moment their lives are changed forever. I loved reading how they grew closer and closer. Not only those moments where they met and have these amazing nights together, but also their many phone calls. I totally got obsessed with these two and couldn’t put the book down. The age difference didn’t bother me at all and definitely made fitted this story perfectly.

Millie’s character was amazing. I loved how passionate she was about her new career path and how caring she was. But my absolute favorite character was Zach. I loved reading his story. How he found out he had a son, and how he responded. How he felt about Millie right from the start! It sure made for a great read. And the romance was just really great. It totally gave me butterflies reading about these two.

‘Tempt’ was a great story I couldn’t put down. And I definitely recommend it. Although this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.
