GoodreadsShe’s looking for Mr. Right. I can offer her Mr. Right Now.That’s my specialty.
He’s my best friend’s older brother. He was also my teenage crush and completely out of reach. But we had our secrets—moments that nobody knew about.I’d tucked them away in a safe place, and that’s where I’d planned to keep them. He’d moved to the city, and I’d moved on.But now he was back in Honey Mountain for a few weeks. And he’d found endless reasons to spend time with me.What started out as rekindling our friendship turned into a different kind of… stroking the fire.No pun intended. It was temporary.Just another secret that we’d keep between us.Ledger Dane came with an expiration date. He’d always been one foot out the door. Why would this time be any different?
After devouring the first three books in the Honey Mountain series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on book four in the series ‘Simply Mine’. So when the time came to start reading, I dived right in.
In ‘Simply Mine’ we read the story of Charlotte and Ledger. Charlotte is a kinder garden teacher, who has had a crush on her best friend’s older brother for years. But Charlotte and Ledger always where much more than they let people believe. Growing up, they always talked with each other about everything. But Ledger made it clear he was not the guy for a serious relationship. But Charlotte grew up thinking about her wedding, and having kids of her own. They definitely shouldn’t be together. But when they are forced to spend more time together than they have in years, they decide they can have more for a limited time.
The Honey Mountain series, is easily becoming one of my favorite series. I just love the setting of Honey Mountain and the wonderful Thomas sisters. So when I knew Charlotte’s story was coming up I was so excited. I just loved the little glimpses I got from Charlotte in the previous books. And this story definitely didn’t disappoint.
The two main characters Charlotte and Ledger where really fun to get to know. I loved the sweet and kind teacher Charlotte. She was easy to love. She was this amazing person, who loved deeply and never really did something for just herself. So when Ledger comes back into town, the guy she has secretly loved for many years, and offers her something she has wanted for years, she can’t decline.
But although I loved Charlotte, my favorite character was Ledger. What a great guy! He wouldn’t agree about that, but he obviously really was a great guy and I loved reading his story and getting to know him. Ledger did everything for his family. Including paying of his moms house because she always worked so hard. I mean really? Wow.
The chemistry and romance between Charlotte and Ledger was simply amazing. It started with a slow-burning romance, but it got pretty intense soon and I loved every moment. And I definitely had trouble putting this book down until I read every single page.
‘Simply Mine’ was a wonderful, romantic read and definitely another 5 star one for me.

I love the sound of this series and it sounds like it ended so well. I keep a feeling that maybe Pavlov’s stories run along the same line as Catherine Cowles, maybe? I really want to give her a try!
It’s a great series and they definitely are a bit like the Catherine Cowles books. I’m pretty sure you are going to love them as well. 😉
