Zandra York just got her big break, photographing a major project for a travel magazine. So what if she’s never traveled out of the country before? Or that she’s more adept at deciphering fraudulent financial statements than reading German train schedules? Her brother Jackson is on his way to act as her guide, and she can’t wait to experience Europe with him. But when Jackson’s overprotective best friend gets off the plane instead, Zandra knows this will not end well. There isn't a damned thing Special Forces instructor Blake Monroe wouldn't do for his best friend, but babysit Zandra when Jackson is unexpectedly called away on a mission? Nope. Not on the list. Especially not when she proves to be more trouble than he can handle—and far too tempting. Between accidentally hiring a hearse as their rideshare, an unprovoked goat attack, and photographing erotic-shaped chocolates, Blake and Zandra can’t keep their hands off each other. But Zandra’s new career is about to send her all over the world and Blake is finally ready to settle down after his next deployment. He’ll never ask her to give up her dreams. And she’ll never ask him to give up his.

When I saw this book on Netgalley I was immediately intrigued. There’s just something about that cover that really made me want to read it. So I requested it, and I was super excited to received the email saying I got approved to read an ARC of this book.

There are several things about ‘Seduced by the Enemy’ that stood out to me. For one, Blake’s character. I just loved him. He was this strong, caring and sweet guy. And I really found his character amusing and fun. And the moments he spoke about his reasons for living his life they way he did.. Well.. Lets just say I melted!

Zandra’s character on the other hand was harder for me to like. I found her a little irritating at times. Not sure why though. There was just something about her that didn’t work for me. Luckily I liked her more in the end. But she definitely wasn’t my favorite.

What I really enjoyed was all the traveling in this book. It just was super fun to read about how these two main characters traveled through Europe. Especially since they also visited Lucerne, Switzerland and the bridge where my husband proposed to me. I could easily imagine them walking there. So fun.

The thing that I didn’t like about this book was the beginning. It just felt like I missed something. From the moment this book started I felt like I missed information about Blake and Zandra. Like I missed the first chapters where there is a little introduction about how these characters met etc. Because of this it really took me a while to really feel the connection between Blake and Zandra.

Overall, ‘Seduced by the Enemy’ was a fun read. The romance was sweet, the characters mostly fun and the setting was definitely good. And that cover.. I love it!
