After reading ‘For Your Love’, book two in the Hidden Hearts series, I was definitely curious about other books in this series. So when I received an ARC of ‘One Night Together’ I was really excited and started reading as soon as I could.
In ‘One Night Together’ we meet Dr. Cassandra Papdakis. Cassandra just had a huge disappointment at work. So now she just wants to forget and think of something else. So when she meets the handsome Leo, who offers her one perfect night. She simple can’t resist. But soon both Cassandra and Leo realize, one night isn’t enough.
‘One Night Together’ started a bit slow in my opinion. And it definitely took me awhile to really get into the story. But after a few pages Cassandra and Leo started to grow on me. And there was so much more to this story than I first thought.
The chemistry between Cassandra and Leo was definitely very exciting to read about. And I loved getting to know these characters better. What I loved the most about this book was the way both characters knew right from the start that they felt much more for each other than only a one night stand.
But although these characters where really fun to get to know, and I enjoyed the chemistry between Cassandra and Leo. I just couldn’t connect to this story as much as I’d hoped I would. And at times I really had to push through.

I’m so glad the characters grew on you after a bit. Yes, sometimes I get those stories that I can’t feel the connection, either.

Sorry to hear this installment wasn’t as good as you hoped it would be. Fortunately, there were elements you enjoyed.

It’s hard when you just don’t feel connected to the story or really invested in the couple (even when they’re likable characters).
