When I saw the sign up for an ARC of ‘For Your Love’ by Kate McBrien, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. I hadn’t read a book by this author before, but I just loved that cover and I’ve always loved the best friends little sister trope. So when I got the book I was super excited and started reading as soon as possible.

In ‘For Your Love’ we meet Colleen Murphy and Finn O’Connor. Colleen is Finn’s best friends little sister, and they grew up together. Ten years ago things changed between them, and Finn broke Colleen’s heart. Now ten years later they see each other again and there is an instant connection between the two of them. But Finn has a reputation of being a playboy and Colleen definitely isn’t going to be just one on his list.

‘For Your Love’ was a book I loved right from the start. The book starts the day Finn broke Colleen’s heart. And although I didn’t get how her heart got broken by that moment. I mean, it just didn’t feel that ‘big’ in my eyes. And definitely not big enough to still be mad about it ten years later. But it definitely made me want to keep on reading.

Fast forward ten years, and I loved getting to know the grown up Colleen and Finn. They had a lot of chemistry, and I loved the way Finn wanted to do everything in his power to make Colleen feel safe and be happy. He was definitely a swoon worthy character. Every woman should have a guy like that in her life. And they had some very sexy moments between them.

Throughout this book we read a bit about something that happened in the past about child abuse. It was a hard thing to read, but I loved the way it also send a message to everyone who has been through something like that.

Overall, ‘For Your Love’ was a book I couldn’t stop reading and I loved from the start. I enjoyed these characters and definitely plan to read more books by this author.
