GoodreadsA sexy single dad and nanny romance from USA Today best-selling author Marni Mann …
Most college-aged girls go to Europe to experience their sexual awakening.
All I had to do was come home.
Ford Dalton isn’t the kind of man I’d look at twice—because I can’t stop looking at him at all.
We can’t take our hands off each other in the bar.
Back at his house, it’s our lips.
And in his bed?
There isn’t a single part of us that’s not on fire.
One night would never be long enough for Ford to show me every delicious thing he can do to my body.
But there’s something he’s keeping from me: he’s already met the love of his life.
His daughter, Everly.
And there’s something I’m keeping from him: I just applied for the job of my dreams.
Everly’s new nanny.
After reading several books by Marni Mann, I knew I wanted to read all her books. Marni just has a way with writing these amazing characters. And after reading the first two books in the Dalton Brothers series, I couldn’t wait to start reading this one. So when I received the ARC, I started reading as fast as I could.
In ‘The Single Dad’ we meet Ford Dalton. Ford has a five year old daughter and she is everything to him. Next to his daughter, he works, which doesn’t leave him with a lot of free time. So dating isn’t something that he does regularly. But when Ford meets Sydney, he immediately wished things where different for him. Sydney is the one girl he can’t get out of his head. But she is also his daughters new nanny. Which means he can’t be with her. But the chemistry between them is hard to deny.
‘The Single Dad’ was definitely a read that hooks your right from the start. Ford is this handsome, rich, hardworking guy who absolutely adores his daughter. He would do everything for her. And seeing this tough guy look after his little girl was definitely something that made me swoon. I loved him right from the start.
But Sydney’s character was my absolute favorite. She was the kind of girl I would like spending time with in real life. Hardworking, honest and not really the out going kind of girl. But the one night she does go out, she meets Ford. And although he kind of scares her, there is also this undeniable chemistry between them that pulls them together right from the moment they meet.
The moments between Ford and Sydney where my favorite for sure. There are plenty of sexy bits, and that chemistry between them? Wow!! Amazing for sure. And I also love that little girl of Ford. She was one fun little girl.
In the end some moments felt a bit rushed to me. But it was still an amazing read! And I can’t wait to read more books in this series.

I seriously love a single dad romance. And when it’s a single dad/nanny romance? I’m sold! I can’t wait to meet Ford and Sydney!
I’m definitely a fan of this trope as well. And this one was truly wonderful.
I think it is neat how you found an author’s writing to be an auto-read. I like the set up of single dad and nanny.
I definitely love all of Marni Mann’s books I read so far 😀
Aaah, from your review I can see you’ve enjoyed this one!
