To the Boston press and the female population, Nick Brown is nothing but a single, successful, handsome walking bank account. They don't want to look beyond the appearances, and he’s tired of all this superficiality surrounding him. After being burned by his latest relationship, he is at the point of giving up. But that is when fate places single mom, Emma Campbell and her six-year-old daughter in his path.
Their instant connection surprises all but with fate playing a wicked game of truth and dare. Will they be strong enough to survive the test of time and challenging circumstances, or will it damage them beyond repair?

A few months ago I got a review request for ‘Simple Irresistible’. Since my TBR is way to long, it took me a while to finally start this read. But since I’ve been trying to get through my TBR, it was finally time to start reading.

In ‘Simple Irresistible’ we meet single mom Emma. Emma is building her very own baking company from her own home, while take care of her six year old little girl. She is a hard worker and loves every moment. Together with the help of her two best friends, her life is looking great. And she definitely doesn’t need a man in her life. But one day she meets handsome and rich Nick. And although at first she doesn’t want anything to do with him, she soon can’t deny the instant attraction between them.

So, lets begin with saying I enjoyed this book. Emma’s character is a hardworking, strong, single mom who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. It was easy for me to love Emma. I simple loved everything about her. She has her own baking company, that is becoming more and more successful. Her daughter Charlotte is really adorable. And I loved her two best friends.

Nick’s character took a little longer for me to love. He is this handsome, rich, workaholic. And he just was a bit to forward for my taste. But the further I got in this read, the more I began to like his character. From the moment Nick meets Emma, he is struck by her beauty and the way she carries herself. And the way Nick was with Charlotte was just to damn cute.

The romance and chemistry between Emma and Nick was kind of sudden. It took me a little while to get used to their relationship. But the further in this book I came, the more I began to like them together. And I definitely enjoyed how Nick became a part of Emma’s and Charlottes life.

But although this book was definitely fun, it also had some parts I didn’t like all that much. I won’t say to much, because I don’t want to spoil anything.. But there just happens a lot in this one book. In my opinion a bit too much. There where several moments in this book, where I thought I must be nearing the end because already so much had happened to the characters. Don’t get me wrong, it was fun to continue reading.. but it was just a bit much stuff for one read.

Overall, I enjoyed this read and am curious about the next read in the series. We already got some hints throughout this read about the next book. And I’m definitely intrigued.
