In July I read ‘If We Ever Meet Again’, the first book in the If Love Duet. I really enjoyed that book and was anxious to read the second book. So when I got the opportunity to read ‘If The Sun Never Sets Again’ I started reading as soon as possible.
‘If The Sun Never Sets Again’ begins five years after the moment where the first book ended. Farrah and Blake have both had very busy lives. Blake has build a sports bar empire. And Farrah has a great job as an interior designer. When they both find themselves in New York, and accidentally meet it seems like fate.
I enjoyed the first book, but I loved this book. This book felt so much more grown up. Yes, the characters where more my age than in the previous book, but the romance and chemistry between Farrah and Blake also just felt much more real to me. And I could easily connect with the emotions both characters went through.
While Farrah obviously cared for Blake, he broke her heart all those years ago and she wasn’t easily convinced this time things would be different. I definitely got that, and I loved how strong her character was.
‘If The Sun Never Sets Again’ was the perfect conclusion to this duet. I loved how Ana Huang was able to get this perfect, real ending for these two characters. The questions I was left with after reading the first book, where now answered. Overall the If Love Duet was definitely a great read.
