The first time I heard his cheesy pick-up line, he made me laugh. The next night, I fell madly in love. Then he shattered my world without speaking a word, leaving me with an empty heart and a hollow soul. Still, I tried to fix what was broken, only to be humiliated beyond repair. I couldn’t believe the same man who promised me heaven so ruthlessly put me through hell with lips that once worshipped me. I thought that was the end of us, but then a life-altering discovery threatened more than just me, and the least likely man to stand at my side was the one who refused to leave it.

When I first saw the cover of ‘Justifying Jamie’ I was intrigued to find out more about this book. And when I read the book description I definitely found myself wanting to read this book. So I signed up for an ARC and was super excited to receive one only a little while later.

In ‘Justifying Jamie’ we meet Jamie and Mercy. They are both from two different worlds, but meet at Mercy’s workplace. That meeting changes everything. Jamie and Mercy spend one magical night together and make plans for a future together. But unfortunately life has different things in store for them. And soon they have to face life on their own again. But that one night, they both can’t seem to forget.

It’s a little hard for me to write this review, because I honestly are still a little confused about this book. I definitely enjoyed this book, but I didn’t love it. The two main characters Jamie and Mercy are fun to get to know, but they were also a little aggravating. I loved the way they fall for each other, but I hated the way they where after that. I mean, come on.. talk with each other!! Sigh..

The chemistry between the two main characters, I could easily feel. And that’s the part about this book I definitely enjoyed the most. The way they met and their conversations then.. so funny! But overall I found time flying by way to fast. In one chapter years would go by. And not at the beginning of the chapter, but even on a new paragraph. I didn’t really like that. I felt like time went way to fast.

There was also a twist in this book I just couldn’t really enjoy. Everyone makes mistakes, but in this book the characters did stuff I just found stupid and annoying. But I can definitely see potential in the other characters in this book and their stories.

Overall I enjoyed the romance but had some trouble with how fast the time went by. Still.. it was a fun Saturday night read.
