As a fanatic reader and book blogger I loved reading book discussion. And since I also love having my own book blog I decided to post a book discussion myself. So join me on my little book discussion journey and let’s have some fun!
fanatic reader and book blogger I want to read all the time. And when I read I
always wish I could read more and faster. Which is kind of funny since most
people think I already read really fast. But I always like to improve myself.
So I’ll keep trying to go faster. LOL!. Lately I’ve been trying to read two
books at ones. No, not at the same moment but I like to read in one book for a
little while, and switch to the other one after a while etc. I read that more
book bloggers do that and I wondered it that would be something for me.
not! I’m trying, and I’m not ready to give up yet but reading more books than
one at the same time is just hard for me. I don’t exactly know why because I
don’t have any troubles with mixing things up or something.. But I just aren’t
really able to go from one book to the other. During workdays for example, when
I get home from work I’ll start to read a book and BAM it’s time for bed and I
haven’t even read in the other book yet. And sometimes a book is just too good
to put down.
I’ve seen people reading up to three or four books at the same time. How?? I
honestly can’t imagine how they do it. And I want to know the secret.
read more books than one at the same time? How do you manage it?
And why do you
want to do it?

I'm a mood reader, so I often read more than one book at a time. I think I have 5 started right now. However, once I get into a book, I will put the others to the side to finish later and focus on the one book.
Five at the same time? Wow.. I'm trying to read two.. But I'm already having trouble switching between those two. I always admire those who can read more books than one.

Yeah, lots of people read multiple books at once, but not me! I think I'd get confused, and I wouldn't be able to sink into the story as well if I were jumping around from one to another. The only thing I do sometimes is I might start a book, then put it on pause to read a graphic novel or a review copy if I suddenly got it and I'm supposed to get it reviewed by a date that's soon, then I'll go back to first book after I finish the interloping one lol.
I totally agree. Reading more books at once definitely makes it harder to really sink into the story. I didn't even used to stop reading a book, when I received a book for a review. I just would try to read faster so I could start reading the new one faster.

I'm usually reading two at a time, one on audio and one in print/ebook. The audio lets me read while I'm doing chores or walking, but doesn't take time away from my other book.
Yes, an audio book and a print/ebook is something I can manage too. But still I get hooked by one of the two more. The last time I listened to an Audiobook I managed to find more cleaning to do, so I wouldn't have to stop listening. LOL!

THe most I ever have going is three. All different genres and in different formats. So an audio, an eBook and a physical book. I listen to the audio whenever I am doing mundane things like driving, laundry etc. I read the eBook during the day (at lunch, on the porch etc) The physical book I read 50 pages from a day (more if I am in a groove)
That's something that would probably work for me best too. Reading books in different formats! But I'm still more of a 'real' book kind of girl. I usually go for that one faster.

I always read 2 books at the same time. When i first started doing this it was a bit weird, but what works for me it to read each book on a different device and on different times. So there's a clear separation between the two books.
So I read book A on my ipad during breakfast lunch etc breaks during the day and book B I read on my Kobo or is a physical copy and I read that one before going to bed. Book b takes me longer to read, but that's okay. This way really works for me and it actually caused me to read more books :).
I definitely think the reading on a different device would work great. One paperback and one E-book for example. When I'm reading only an E-book I definitely miss the paperbacks, so that would solve that problem. Reading it on different times sounds also like a good plan. I have to try it out sometimes, since there are days that I can't find a lot of reading time.
Thanks for the tips and joining in! I really hope I can read more too this way!
I don't read multiple books either unless I'm reading non-fiction.
It's definitely something I would like to do, because I think it will make me able to read more books. But I still haven't really found the perfect method for me. But I won't give up! 😀
