Welcome
to my tour stop for ‘Free Me’ by A.M. Wray. I hope you enjoy your stay here at
Maureen’s Books. 😉

About the Book:

Now that she’s finishing up a divorce, 23 year old Rin is
forced to look at herself and see the person she’s become: quiet, shy, weak,
dependent… She’s allowed someone else to mold her into the person she is
today and it’s someone she doesn’t even like.

This person is not at all who she thought she’d be at
this point in her life and she’s decided to live for herself… To be her own
person and to explore the world around her.
Deciding to live life to the fullest, Rin calls a friend
and makes an arrangement with him of a sexual nature, wanting to explore her
more basic desires as well as experiment with some new ones, using sex as a way
to break herself free of her chains.
When the rules are broken and her world is turned upside
down and she is left brokenhearted, an old friend comes back and she becomes
confused about her current path. He seems to want to help her, but is that all
he wants? What does SHE want?
Rin fights to find her own path to independence and
strength, wanting to be the kind of woman that is capable of having a family
one day. Rin wants to heal and be the person that she knows that she can be,
but if she waits too long, she may lose the one that’s always been there for
her, pushing her along the way.

My Review:

When I
came across the promo for the blog tour of ‘Free Me’ by A.M. Wray I was immediately
intrigued. This book sounded like it could be a lot of fun and I decided to
sign up for the tour. Fortunately I could participate in this book and when the
ARC was send I immediately started reading it.
In ‘Free
Me’ we meet Serenity, A.K.A. Rin, a 23 year old who just got out of a bad and
unhappy marriage. Rin hasn’t been single for a long time and ever her divorce
is final she decided to enjoy her life as a single and attractive young woman.
But soon Rin finds out that she isn’t the one-night-stand kind of girl. Not
ready to get into another relationship, Rin decides to try the friends-with-benefits
thing. As soon as the idea comes in her head she thinks of her friend Sam. A
nice and sexy guy of which she heard a lot of promising stuff. And soon Rin
starts a whole new chapter in her life with new people and old friends.
When I
first started in ‘Free Me’ I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I like romance
books and soon after starting this book I got the feeling that romance wasn’t going
to be a part of this book. But that wasn’t completely true. This book was fun,
romantic and also really sexy and I found myself really enjoying this book.
At times
I thought the book was a little confusing and I didn’t really like Rin’s
character all that much. I found Rin’s character just a little too hard to
believe. You would read that she was shy and that she would get attached to
people to soon. And the next moment she had a one night stand, asked her friend
to be a ‘friend-with-benefits’ etc. In my opinion that was just a little hard
to believed. But still I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice and easy read
and I loved Rin’s journey after her divorce.
The
character I liked the most was definitely Noah. I loved that guy from the first
moment I read about him. He was just so sweet, kind, caring and sexy. The way
Noah talked to Rin and stood up to her even when Rin didn’t knew she was being
played. I definitely loved the parts about Noah.
This
book is definitely a nice one if you’re a fan of the erotic romance genre. I
think the story of Rin is just going to get better and better.
