GoodreadsWhen his brand new luxury resort in California receives a scathing review from a leading travel magazine, billionaire CEO Bryce Royal decides that a little revenge is in order.
Unlucky in love resort reviewer Vivian Holte summons up the courage to get back on the love scene. But when she receives her own terrible review on a hot, trending dating app, Vivian smells a rat. A six foot, three inch tall, handsome as sin, rat. One whose touch she will never forget.
Let’s start with this book cover? Isn’t pretty?! It was definitely what caught my eye first. And when I read the book description I knew this was a book that I wanted to read myself. So when I received an ARC, I was really excited.
In ‘Room For Improvement’ we meet Vivian Holte. Vivian is a resort reviewer and is trying to take her mind of her ex-boyfriend, who cost her a lot of money and her heart. Her job is the perfect distraction. Spending the day in a luxurious new resort? Sounds great right?! Unfortunately her latest job is at Royal Resorts Platinum Collection in Laguna Beach. Although it sounds perfect, and it has its charms, there is a lot that isn’t as perfect on the resort.
Luckily Vivian soon meets Bryce. A very handsome guy who is also really fun to spend time with. And they end up spending the day together. But both Vivian and Bryce are keeping some secrets from each other. And soon Vivian’s review goes life, and she isn’t very positive about Bryce’s families latest resort. They part ways and try to forget each other. But when Bryce writes his own review, things get bad fast.
‘Room For Improvement’ took some time to really get interesting in my opinion. Although the writing itself was fun and easy to follow, it took a very long time for the two main characters to actually meet. I think it was around the 22% mark. I found myself losing interest a bit to be honest. I just kept on wondering when they finally would meet. But I continued reading and when Vivian and Bryce finally met, the story became more interesting.
The chemistry between Vivian and Bryce was mellow, but fun to read. I enjoyed their little banters, and they shared some fun moments. When the truth about their characters came out, they both went there separate ways. Honestly, Bryce ‘revenge’ on Vivian’s review was just childish and made me like his character a lot less. Luckily he made up for it though.
‘Room For Improvement’ had it’s fun moments, but overall it just wasn’t really my kind of read.

So sorry this story didn’t live up to expectations.
I can see why you tried it though.
I hope your next read makes up for it lol
Have a great week! xo
Thanks. It definitely did 😉
First, Vivian has an awesome job. Who wouldn’t want to go around staying at resorts. 🙂 The thing about Bryce taking revenge and being childish about definitely turns me off, though. Sorry this one was not a winner for you.
Definitely. Her job sounds like a dream 😀
