When I saw that cover of ‘Jingle Bell Hell’ it immediately sparked my interest. I mean.. Isn’t gorgeous? So when I read the book description, I knew this was a book I wanted to get my hands on. And when I received the ARC a little while later, I couldn’t wait to start reading. ‘Jingle Bell ...KEEP READING »

Her Renegade Cowboy (Moving Violations, #3)

After reading the first two books in the Moving Violations series, I was definitely curious about this third book. These first two books left me with mixed feelings, but how can I deny a Cowboy story?!

In ‘Her Renegade Cowboy’ we meet Lily Donovan. Lily has been through something horrible, and she is convinced men can not be trusted. So when she meet the handsome cowboy Levi, she is convinced he is trouble. Levi on the other hand has been crazy about Lily from the moment he first lay eyes on her. But she is definitely trouble and he should stay away from her. The one problem is that Levi simple can’t stay away. There is a connection between them that can’t be denied.

Well.. this book was fun enough, but I didn’t love it as much as I would have liked. The two main characters are fun, and they had chemistry but there was just way to much steamy moments in my opinion. I just need a bit more romance in my stories to really get into it.

The suspense was nice enough, but it only felt like a suspense read near the end of the book to be honest. And I felt myself losing interest a bit.

But I definitely did like the fun little banters between Lily and Levi. Lily really was a character who was able to stand up for herself, and I loved her feistiness. I enjoyed reading about her. And after reading this book, I’m definitely curious about her sister Shay too. She definitely also had something fierce about her.

Overall this was a fun read, but I missed the romance.

A Moment for Us (Willow Creek Valley #3)

I’ve been loving the Willow Creek Valley series so far. So when I received the sign up for ‘A Moment For Us’, book three in the series I got super excited and signed up immediately. And luckily for me I got send an ARC soon after.

In ‘A Moment For Us’ we read the story of Delia and Josh. Delia has been in love with Josh for a very long time. But Josh has never had any interest in her. Delia was always just his little brothers best friend. But no matter what he did, and no matter how much time passed by Delia adored Josh. Now they are both grown up, and Delia is determined to finally get over Josh. But then Josh looks at Delia and things change.

Josh is the oldest of the Parkinson kids and he has always been the one that took care of everyone. He is also the one that has closed his own heart. No matter how amazing Delia is, he can never let himself love her. And boy did I love Josh’s character. There just was something about him I loved from the moment I read little bits about him in the previous books, and in this book I loved him even more.

Delia’s character was also one I couldn’t not love. She was hard working, kind and is definitely a great friend. She has adored Josh for years, and she has never been ashamed of it. But she knows Josh will never love her the way she wants him too. And it’s time to let go. Delia was definitely someone I loved reading about. She was so tough. And she just had the biggest heart.

This wouldn’t be a Corinne Michaels novel if it didn’t have a couple of twists, and makes you feel all kinds of emotions. I definitely laughed, and cried while reading this book. It was just a fantastic read.. and I loved getting to know Delia and Josh.

The only little part I didn’t like as much was the end. It felt a bit sudden for me. But I can certainly life with it. ‘A Moment For Us’ is another great read, I definitely recommend.

Welcome To Winterville: A Small Town Holiday Romance

After reading the novella, A Kiss For Christmas, where we read how the two main characters of ,Welcome To Winterville, meet 8 years earlier, I was so excited to start reading this one. I just loved Holly and Josh right from the start and couldn’t wait to read their story. Add a wintery Christmas setting and it honestly feels like this book was written for me.

After Holly and Josh met 8 years earlier, their lives have both gone very different ways. Now, Holly is returning to Winterville to help save the town her beloved grandmother founded. Holly expected to have to work hard, but what she didn’t expect was to find Josh as the guy who is trying to buy Winterville. Although they haven’t seen or spoken to each other in 8 years, there is this instant chemistry between them they both can’t deny.

From the moment I started reading this book I was hooked. I loved everything about it. The fun, lovely, kind and interesting characters. And the very charming setting of the snow filled mountain Christmas town of Winterville. I found myself devouring these pages and in the end I read it way to fast.

Holly and Josh have this amazing chemistry, and this book definitely gave me all the feels. Holly is this smart, tough and beautiful woman who never really has had the love of a mother. The one woman she looked up to was her grandmother. So when the town her grandmother founded is being sold to a rich developer, she is determined to find a way to make sure no developer will be able to get his hands on her beloved home town. But Josh is definitely more than a rich developer. Josh, is kind and charming and makes her feel all kinds of emotions. This definitely made for some exciting moments.

The way Carrie Elks described this book was ‘It’s like Hallmark, but… hotter?’. Well.. that definitely says it all. This book was very romantic, and definitely had some very hot moments.

And one more thing I loved? Throughout this book we read about some other characters. And I definitely can’t wait to read about their story. There’s just so much more about Winterville I want to read about.

‘Welcome To Winterville’ was definitely a great romance. Great characters, a gorgeous setting and some amazing chemistry. Yes, it’s about a town that loves Christmas.. But it’s definitely not necessarily a book about Christmas. And I definitely recommend it.

The Lawyer (The Dalton Brothers, # 1)

You can’t even imagine how excited I am to be a part of Marni Mann’s ARC Team. So when I got the opportunity to read ‘The Lawyer’ I was beyond thrilled. ‘The Lawyer’ is the first book in a brand new series, The Dalton brothers.

After a bit of a rough start, where I just had to get used to the ‘male talk’ a bit, I soon was addicted to this read. We read about Dominick, an acclaimed lifelong bachelor who is used to spending only one night with a woman. And these women are never his clients. But from the moment he lays eyes on Kendall, things change for him. Kendall is unlike any woman he has met, and somehow he can’t stop thinking of her.

Kendall has moved to L.A. to work for her sister. She isn’t looking for love or anything other than a fun evening. But when she meets Dominick, all she wants to do is be with him. But Kendall isn’t the one night stand kind of girl, and Dominick isn’t the relationship kind of guy. But there is an attraction between them that can’t be denied, and soon sparks are flying of the pages.

The setting of this book is the Hollywood scene. This is something I have always loved to read about in a romance novel. There is just something magical about reading about the Hollywood life. And in ‘The Lawyer’ we definitely read about the down side of Hollywood life. Combine that with some very sexy, romantic, intense writing and you have a great book which I couldn’t put down.

The two main characters, where very different from each other, but I still loved them both. Kendall was just this kind, sweet, hardworking girl who had a big heart. And Dominick, although very tough on the outside, got super sweet and romantic with Kendall. It definitely made me swoon.

This being a Erotic Romance, there where a lot of steamy moments. I could have done with a bit less of those, but in the end it worked for this story. They were fun, don’t get me wrong. But there where a lot of these moments.. and I don’t really am a fan of the language Dominick used at times. Luckily, I loved the story enough to look past that bit.

‘The Lawyer’ is a very sexy, romantic book that I loved from the beginning. And I definitely will need to read about these other Dalton brothers as well.
