This week
was my first week back at work. I was definitely a little scared of this week.
How would our baby girl do with her grandparents and at daycare? Would I be
able to pump at work? Would I still know how to do my job? There were so many
crazy questions going around in my head. And yes, I know that they were crazy!
I mean.. I have been a nurse for more than a decade so I will never forget how to
be one. LOL!! Thankfully I got a very warm welcome when I walked in on Monday
morning. Which definitely made me feel much better. (Especially since my day
started with having to get a new uniform since my old one didn’t fit at all!!!
Sigh.. I guess I didn’t lose all the pregnancy pounds I thought I’d lost! :D) I
was glad to find myself really enjoying being back at work. Sure.. it takes a
little getting used to being back there again. Some things have changed, there
are a lot of new students and even a lot of new colleagues but mostly things are the same.
did great with both grandparents and at the daycare. Which made all the
difference. Rosanne is a very happy cheery girl, who sleeps well and doesn’t
cry all that much but I was afraid that maybe she only did that with us. Thankfully
she does great with other people too which makes working a lot more fun for me.
everything went great and I had a free day after every workday (I worked
Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week) I was absolutely exhausted at night. I
definitely didn’t think it would be this exhausting to get back to work and getting
into a new routine. But I probably just need some time to get used to this new
life again. So I didn’t read a lot or do a lot of blogging this week but for a
first week back to work I think I did pretty good.

Wow, you seems to have had a busy week and I am glad your babygirl adapted well. I am sure you would too in a while. Have a great week ahead.
Gayathri @ Elgee Writes
Thanks Gayathri. It was definitely a busy first week back.
Happy reading!
I recall how challenging it was to go back to work after each of my children. I had four…and I stayed home with the first two until the youngest was almost two…and with the third, I went back when he was 8 months old. Then I felt guilty. LOL. I stayed home for a year and a half with the fourth one.
But…I think it would have been easier if I hadn't had so many kids. LOL.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Wow.. four kids. I definitely want more, but four? How did you do that? LOL!! If it was a possibility for me to stay home, I definitely would.. but since it isn't possible for us I do think her staying with her grandparents and one day at the daycare is good for her development. Especially since she does all these activities at the day care. I still wish I would be able to work from home though.
Happy Reading. 😉
I'm glad Rosanne adapted well and that you had a nice first day back at work. I'm sure it can be challenging but you seem to be managing it great. I hope you find a balance and routine soon so that you don't feel too tired. Have a great week and happy holidays!
Thanks Marti. I sure do my best to manage everything well. Thankfully I love planning. Makes it a lot easier. 😉
Happy reading!
So glad to hear your first week back went well! That must have been nervewracking the first day! And glad the little one did well also. 🙂
Have a great week ahead!
It sure was nerve-wracking Greg. I woke up at 5 and still felt like I had to rush like crazy. LOL!
Happy reading!
Sounds like you had a nice welcome back. It's always nice to have a great work environment. I'm sure you'll get used to it. Congrats on your new family member!
Thanks 😀
It was definitely a nice welcome. Happy Reading!
It sounds like it is going as well as expected. I'm not surprised you are tired, a different day than you have been doing. Now to just fit in a little time for yourself to relax and read. Anne – Books of My Heart
as could be expected I mean.
True! The days I have to work are very different. There's a lot more traveling that's for sure. LOL!
Happy Reading!
