Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is about Bookish Goals for 2024. I’ve always been a goals and lists kind of girl so although I wasn’t able to write down ten.. I loved thinking about these goals and came up with six.
- Read a 100 book for my Goodreads challenge
Last year I also set my goal for 100 books, and in the end I managed to read 114. This year I wanted to put my goal higher, but since I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself this year, I went with another 100.
- Read more owned books
I have two TBR carts where I’ve put all my paperback and hardcovers of books I own and really want to read. This year I hope to finally read most of them. Of course I’ll be adding new books as well.. but hopefully it will be all ‘new’ ones at the end of 2024
- Read Sarah J Maas
For as long as Sarah J Maas has been publishing books, I’ve been hearing about her. And I think I would love her books since they seem to have everything I’d like in a read. Somehow, I still have only read one of her books. And although I loooooved it, I never continued. Why not? I honestly don’t have a clue. But this year I’m going to change and read them!!
- Re-Read Harry Potter
In December I re-watched the Harry Potter movies with my best friend and this year I really want to re-read the books. I used to re-read them every year before I had kids, so it’s definitely been at least 5 years.
- Finish the Scheltema Bingo
This year a Dutch bookshop in Amsterdam, and one of my favorites, is doing a Bingo challenge on Instagram. I’ve already been participating and really want to finish it this year.
- Grow my Bookstagram
I’ve really been enjoying Bookstagram these last few years and this year I really want to do more on their and maybe grow it a little bit. Without adding to much pressure on myself obviously!
What are some of your bookish goals for 2024?

I need to read more books on my shelf too rather than continue to add more additions. All the best with your 2024 goals. 🙂

Sounds like some great goals. I always find a 100 to be a great goal for the year.
One of my goals this year is to start on Instagram. I signed up at one point last year, panicked because I felt overwhelmed, and haven’t returned since. I want to give it another try this year.

A great list. I struggled to come up with goals with a few coming together to basically read more of my own books!
I love the idea of book bingo but as I get too distracted by Blog Tours and I am a fairly slow reader I just don’t think that I would be able to achieve the goals!
I was literally thinking this morning that I miss how Bookstagram used to be 2 years ago when I started. It has lost its soul.
Have a great week! And good luck with your goals!

OOh nice set of goals. I think I’m finally caught up on my SJM books! Now my JLA is another story entirely. It’s quite sad. Her books are so deliciously long and yet I read so insanely slow! It’s a conundrum! I’m also trying to read more of my TBR books but it’s always so hard when the shiny new books are ones I want to read too! Good luck with your goals this year!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Have fun with your goals!
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
“Read more owned books” – I hope to do this, too, this year.
Great list!
Read more books I already own is on so many lists, including mine!
I’m really trying to read more of my owned books, too, especially those I have in print! Good luck. 😀
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Good luck with your goals!
As for the Sarah J Maas one, i don’t know if you’ve already chosen an order, but if i were you i’d start with ACOTAR.
I personally didn’t like Throne of Glass that much, but I loved ACOTAR and Crescent City!
Happy Reading 🙂
Oh you won’t regret your goal of reading Sarah J. Maas. Good luck!
Interesting goals. Seems a lot of people are focusing on reading their owned books, myself being among them. Good luck with these.
I love seeing read more of your own books. That is always a goal of mine.
I love the goal to re-read the Harry Potter books. I need to do that! I’ve re-read the first three, but not the entire series. Good luck with your goals.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

These are great goals, Maureen! Reading more from my own shelves is one of my unwritten goals that I strive for every year. Sometimes I am more successful than others. Good luck with your goals this year!
Good luck with your goals! They sound great.
