Callahan
I’m the Kane brother everyone gossips about behind closed doors. Trust fund brat. Washed-up athlete. High-functioning alcoholic. No one knows the real me but her. Lana Castillo—my childhood best friend and the only woman I ever loved. When I broke her heart six years ago, I promised to never return to Lake Wisteria. I kept my word until my grandfather’s will changed everything. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it. The request was simple in theory until my entire plan blew up on the very first day. Turns out Lana doesn’t just live at the house, but she claims to own it, too.
Alana
Falling in love with Callahan Kane was a mistake. He told me so before destroying my heart and our friendship six summers ago. When he promised never to come back, I foolishly believed him. But then Cal showed up again, intending to sell his grandfather’s lake house. The biggest flaw in his plan? My name is on the deed.

After reading the first two books in the Dreamland Billionaires series, I definitely wanted to read this third and last book in the series as well. So when I got a free moment on my reading schedule I started reading right away.

In the ‘Final Offer’ we read the story of the youngest Kane brother Callahan. Cal is the one brother no one really counts on. He doesn’t have a job, never seems to take things seriously and he has a problem with alcohol. When he broke his best friends heart 6 years ago after leaving Lake Wisteria, he promised never to come back. But now, to get his inheritance, he is forced to go back to the small town and live in his family lake house. What he didn’t expect was Alana, his best friend and the only woman he ever loved, claiming to own the lake house. Now he is forced to stay and make Alana give him a chance to move in for a few weeks, before convincing her to sell the house.

From the moment Alana and Cal meet again after all those years, its clear there is still a lot of chemistry between them. But Cal’s alcohol intake, and Alana’s daughter make things a lot more complicated. And soon things seem to be to broken to ever get over for Alana.

‘Final Offer’ was a fun read that I really enjoyed. Ever since I read a little bit about Cal in the previous two books, I was so excited to finally read his story. I really wanted to know what happened to the seemingly always cheerful and playful guy. Learning his story was kind of sad. I really felt for the guy and how broken he really was. Reading about his alcohol problem was hard, and at times I really wanted to shake him, but it was also very refreshing to read a story like this.

The romance between Cal and Alana was really fun. They’ve loved each other intensely for years and reading how things broke between them was really sad. But the chemistry between them was still pretty amazing to read. And the addition of Alana’s little girl was really fun.

Overall I loved Final Offer, and I loved this series. The Kane Brothers have been so fun to get to know, and I can’t wait to read more books by this author.
