He's the GOAT of the NFL. She's a hot-headed reporter who despises him. They're in the same small town for the summer. What could possibly go wrong?

I'm more than aware of the responsibilities that come with being a quarterback in the NFL.The upside—I get to do what I love every day, which is play football.
And I make more money than I know what to do with.
The downside—everyone wants a piece of me, and the press stalks me ruthlessly. And one reporter in particular, Brinkley Reynolds, has crossed a line.
She takes things too far.
So yeah, I have her escorted out of the press conference.Imagine my surprise when the same woman walks into the coffee shop in the small town where I’ve gone to get some privacy for the summer.I accuse her of stalking me.
She calls me every name in the book before proceeding to make me feel very unwelcome in Cottonwood Cove.
Her hometown.
The place where she tucked tail and ran after I’d unknowingly gotten her fired.
So now I’m enemy number one.
That’s fine with me. I’m not the biggest fan of her either. She’s equal parts stubborn and aggravating. But she happens to be the sexiest woman I’ve ever laid eyes on.
So I try to make amends.
I’m not the devil after all.
But she won’t give me the time of day unless I agree to give her my story.
One I’ve fought hard to protect since the day I started playing professional ball.
I don’t owe Brinkley Reynolds anything.
So why am I considering giving her everything?

Being on Laura’s ARC Team is an absolute dream. I’ve been loving her books for what feels like forever, and especially her Cottonwood Cove series has been amazing. So when ‘On The Shore’ was send to my kindle, I was so excited and really wanted to drop everything and start reading. It took what longer then planned, but when I started reading, I couldn’t stop.

In ‘On The Shore’ we read the story of Brinkley Reynolds. Brinkley has recently moved back to her small home town after NFL player Lincoln Hendrix got her fired. Frustrated and angry Brinkley is determined to find another way to make her job as an sports reporter a success. But first it’s time to make a plan. When Lincoln Hendrix suddenly walks into her town, she can’t believe the arrogance of the guy. What is he doing here and why can’t he leave her alone?

Lincoln is the GOAT of the NFL and this comes with a lot of responsibilities. Everyone seems to want a piece of him. And all he wants is to escape the pressure for a little while and think in peace about what his next step will be. So when he gets the opportunity to stay in the Small town of Cottonwood Cove, away from everyone, he grabs the chance with both hands. The last thing he expected was to find the aggravating, beautiful, reporter in the same town. And when Lincoln and Brinkley decide to work together, despite their obvious dislike of each other, the last thing they expect is the chemistry between them.

From the moment I started reading ‘On The Shore’ I just knew this book would be another hit for me. I’ve loved the Reynolds siblings in the previous two books, and although this book is a standalone, I love that I already knew the family a bit. Brinkley Reynolds is one stubborn and determined woman. And I loved how strong she was. Even a big time NFL player doesn’t face her. And she is determined to make it on her own in the sports reporter world.

Although Lincoln can act a bit arrogant, he definitely isn’t. And I loved his character the most. He is a hard worker, determined to be the best and he loves his mom deeply. And the best thing about him.. he isn’t too arrogant to admit when he makes a mistake. And he easily admits his feelings. I loved that about him. Add a dazzling charm, and some intense chemistry and let me tell you I devoured this book.

My favorite thing about this book was without a doubt the banter between Brinkley and Lincoln. They both are strong characters, and they don’t shy away from arguments. It made for some exciting moments and I just swooned most of the book.

‘On The Shore’ was another amazing read in this series. And I can’t wait to read the story about the next Reynolds sibling.
