Shiloh
Damaged. Broken. Destroyed. I’ve heard it all. A single moment of trusting the wrong person shattered my life into pieces, and my family has never looked at me the same. It’s impossible to convince them that I’m anything more than the broken girl they rescued all those years ago.
Until I meet him.
Ramsey’s surly demeanor and menacing scowl scare most of the world away. But not me. Not when I’ve seen his gentle hands soothe an abused colt or comfort a terrified mare.
And when I finally get up the courage to strike out on my own, Ramsey’s there. Roommates felt like such a safe proposition until Ramsey’s lingering touches and wicked smile light a fire in me I don’t think will ever be extinguished. And he feels it, too…
But just as my new life begins to take root, an evil from my past emerges from the shadows, casting a darkness on my newfound freedom. And this time, they won’t settle for pieces of me. They want everything…

Some books, you simple can’t wait to start reading from the moment you first read about the characters. And for me ‘Fractured Sky’, is one of those books. From the moment I first read about Shiloh in book one of the series, I knew I needed to read her story. And I only got more curious about her character every time I read a little bit about her in one of the other books. So I was super excited to finally start reading.

In ‘Fractured Sky’ we read the story of Shiloh and Ramsey. Shiloh got kidnapped when she was a little girl, and ever since she got back she always felt a bit suffocated by the people she loves. Her family desperately wanted to keep her save, but Shiloh just felt broken and confused. No one knows Shiloh has visited Ramsey’s ranch for years. And for a long time it wasn’t something worth telling since they never spoke. But now it’s time for Shiloh to start living.

Ramsey has stayed away from people for years. People disappointed him, and he just wants to safe horses and nothing else. But when the beautiful girl that has visited him for years, starts coming closer, he finds himself changing his rules a little every day.

From the moment I started reading about Shiloh, I was so curious about her story. And when I started reading ‘Fractured Sky’ I literally couldn’t stop reading. And boy was this book good. These two main characters where definitely a bit different than you average main characters, and I loved every moment. Not only are there so many things about these characters we needed to learn, I also loved how they worked so well together.

The chemistry and romance between Shiloh and Ramsey, was intense and a slow-burn one for sure. But I adored every moment. I got teary eyed several times, and I just loved how Shiloh finally found some happiness for herself. Obviously, if you know Catherine Cowles you come to expect them a bit, we get some big twist and turns that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat.

I can’t believe the Tattered & Torn series has come to end with this book, and I secretly hope we get to read more. ‘Fractured Sky’ was definitely one of my favorites and I would recommend it for sure.
