Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time
As readers, I think we all have books we wish we could read again for the first time. Those books that changed everything and which made you feel all kinds of emotions. I know I have plenty of those. I honestly could have made a Top 100 of this topic I think. But lets pick my favorites.
Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and have been reading the books from the very beginning. They are my absolute favorite books! And I definitely wish I could read these again for the first time. I remember the days when a new Harry Potter book would come out and I was so excited and nervous even. When I finally did have the book in my hands I would start reading, and only stopped when I absolutely had too. I definitely forgot to eat often in those days. 😀
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
The Twilight books by Stephanie Meyer definitely are on my Favorite lists. I simple love those books and I’ve been reading time multiple times over the years. My love of romance novels definitely started with these books. And I’m definitely team Edward if you’d like to know.
Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
Yes, I love Fifty Shades of Grey and I devoured those books. Yes there is a lot of sex in these books but I mostly love the connection between Christian and Ana. There is so much more going on there than you’d think, and I loved them. I remember reading these books for the first time in Corfu, Greece and I’ve read them several times since.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games was one of those series that I started reading and couldn’t stop until I read every book. These books where very different than my usual reads, but I loved and devoured them.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
City of Bones was the first book by Cassandra Clare I read and I loved it so much! I read this book in one day (obviously before I had kids) and bought the other books in the series on the same day.
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
This was the first book by Jennifer L. Armentrout I read and it was the one that made her one of my favorite authors. I simple devoured this book and couldn’t get enough of it. I definitely would like to read this book again for the first time. Sigh..
The Soldiers Wife by Pamela Hart
This book I read in 2015 and it really touched me. I just loved it so much and it made me cry and smile at the same time. It’s a beautiful story and I honestly don’t understand why it isn’t more popular.
From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout
One of my favorite series is definitely the Blood and Ash series and I remember reading the first book for the first time as like it was yesterday. I couldn’t stop reading the book and I ended up finishing it in the middle of the night while I had to work the next day. Yikes. But totally worth it. I love Hawke and Poppy.
Here With Me by Samantha Young
One of my latest books to go on this list is definitely Here With Me. This is book one in a new series, the Adair family series, and I just loved it so much. It such a romantic but also thrilling read. And it really makes me want to visit Scotland.
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
When I first read this book in 2013 I just couldn’t stop. What a great start to a new series!! And I definitely devoured this series after reading this one. This book definitely was the start of my love for Paranormal Romance.

If only we could really read these again for the first time right?! 😀
Seeing Obsidian made me practically squeal out loud. LOL That was one of the first books to really draw me in and have me 100% hooked. I had to inhale the series and waiting on the last two books was torture. I’ve reread the series a couple times (especially the first couple books) but nothing can compare to reading it for the first time!
OMG.. I so need to re-read this series myself. I’ve only read it one time but I have been wanting to read it again for a long time 😀
Obsidian and all the squeals are new to me today.
Of course Harry Potter is on my list too!
This list was so hard to put together. I’d love to reread a lot of books for the first time again 😀
