Today I’m excited to participate in the Blog Tour of ‘Dangerous Games’ by T.K. Leigh. This is a Contemporary Romance novel that can be read as a standalone. ‘Dangerous Games’ is out now!
When I read the book description and saw that gorgeous cover of ‘Dangerous Games’, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. So I requested an ARC and was super excited when I got approved. And I started reading as soon as possible. ‘Dangerous Games’ is my first book by T.K. Leigh.
Before diving into ‘Dangerous Games’ I read the novella ‘Mind Games’. The first meeting between Asher and Izzy in Vegas after ten years can be read in the novella ‘Mind Games’. Although ‘Dangerous Games’ continues where ‘Mind Games’ ended, it can easily be read as a standalone.
In ‘Dangerous Games’ we meet Izzy. Izzy has had a thing for the handsome and very talented musician Asher York for a very long time. But she always has been able to ignore her feelings because he was her friend.. and not unimportantly.. her ex-fiancés brother. Now she hasn’t seen Asher in almost ten years, but when she unexpectedly sees him again it seems to be fate. But things are still very complicated and Asher is still the one guy she isn’t supposed to want.
From the moment I started reading ‘Dangerous Games’ I fell in love with the two main characters Izzy and Asher. These characters are just perfect for each other. Izzy is a nurse, as a fellow nurse I obviously couldn’t not love her, and Asher is this gifted musician. And they always shared a special bond with each other. And boy was T.K. Leigh able to make me love them! But there was one little tiny problem.. Izzy was engaged to Asher’s brother.
The bond between Asher and Izzy was definitely something else. It was pure and beautiful and made me want to cry! It was just so good! But life is super complicated at times, and especially for Asher and Izzy. So instead of being able to be with each other, they were never able to give in to their feelings. And I struggled right along with them.
At times it frustrated me how Asher and Izzy always seemed to want to make everyone happy, except themselves. But it fitted the story and kept me sitting on the edge of my seat unable to stop reading. Their bond was something else, and I loved how the author was able to make me love these characters.
The moments where Asher wrote his music where my absolute favorite, and totally made me swoon! That guy really knows how to speak from his heart, and I totally have a crush on that guy!! ( Don’t tell my husband!!)
This book was written through both Asher and Izzy’s point of views and it made the read that much better. I also loved getting to read little bits about Izzy’s friends. There are stories there, I’d definitely like to read more about.
Yes. ‘Dangerous Games’ was a great story and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

“Well, if you change your mind, give me a shout.”
She shoots her eyes to mine before spinning around. I’m about to pull my hand away, but Asher tightens his grasp.
I try not to read too much into it. We’re just two friends holding hands. Hell, there were quite a few nights I’d dozed off on his shoulder as I listened to him strum his guitar at the lake house.
Each summer, I looked forward to spending time there. After dinner, we’d sit by the lake, a campfire burning, and actually talk to each other. No distractions. Spending time together in a way most people no longer do in this technology-driven society. Jessie would inevitably go inside early, complaining about the mosquitos, despite not having a single bite on his flesh. I should have known then we were incompatible. He hated everything to do with nature, preferring the pace of the city. While I love urban life, I enjoy getting away from it all, too.
Something I haven’t had the opportunity to do for too long now.
A squeeze on my hand brings me back from my memories, and I return my eyes to Asher as he releases his hold. “Sorry. I shouldn’t have used you as a barrier, but I don’t think she would have gotten the hint otherwise.”
I smile weakly. “What are friends for?”
