Review ‘Snowflakes On Christmas Street’ by Ivy Pembroke

When I was
looking for a Christmas read and came across the beautiful looking cover of
‘Snowflakes On Christmas Street’, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. So I
was super excited when I got approved to review this one. And as fast as I
could I started reading. 

In
‘Snowflakes On Christmas Street’ we meet a dog named Jack. Jack was left behind
by his previous owners and is now living on Christmas Street, just your average
street in London. When Sam and his young son Teddy move to Christmas street
they soon find out Jack really is the streets dog. Eating at every single
house, sleeping at different places.. Jack is everyone’s dog. When Sam tries to
teach his son how to make new friends by hosting a street party, they soon find
that this is not an average street at all.

‘Snowflakes
On Christmas Street’ was a very nice Christmas read that really just made me
feel good. It’s romantic, funny and definitely a little too-good-to-be-true.
But I loved it. And I loved reading about Jack. What a fun and magical dog he
was. And the best part about this book was definitely getting to know all those
different characters.  

The main
characters in this book were definitely Jack, Sam & Teddy. But we read also
the point of views of other neighbors from Christmas street, and although I
normally don’t really like reading about more than three characters point of
views. In this book I really enjoyed it. It just added to the feeling of
reading about a complete street. And all characters were very different. 

‘Snowflakes
On Christmas Street’ really is a perfect book to read on a cold December night.
Some hot cocoa and a blanket.. I say perfect.

Pembroke is a law professor who specializes in copyright and trademark law,
with a focus on fanfiction. An enthusiastic writer all her life, she loves the
backspace button, overuses italics in emails with friends, and thinks there is
little better than a story that makes you smile. She splits her time between
Mississippi and her home state of Rhode Island.
