Today I’m super excited to participate in the blog tour

bestselling author in the world, and as a fan of Nora’s books I’m so thrilled
to share my review with you guys. And just look at that beautiful cover!
‘The Liar’ was published by Piatkus on April

Betrayed by the man she loved. Can she ever trust again?
The brand-new novel of love, drama and hope from legendary Nora Roberts.
When her husband Richard dies in an accident, Shelby
Pomeroy is devastated. But his death reveals a horrible truth – Richard was a
liar and a cheat. Now Shelby is left with the consequences – huge, terrifying
debts and mounting proof that her husband betrayed her in every conceivable
way.
Heart-broken but unbowed, Shelby is determined to fix her
problems – if only for the sake of her gorgeous little daughter Callie.
Returning home to Tennessee and the family she thought she’d lost forever, she
discovers a new sense of strength and freedom. And hope, too, in the handsome
form of carpenter Griffin Lott – a straight-dealing man who couldn’t lie to her
if he tried.
But not everyone is thrilled to see Shelby Pomeroy back
in town. When a shocking act of violence is traced back to Richard’s shady
business, it becomes clear that she is not safe from him, even in death. With
her life in danger, Shelby must face the lies of the past – or lose everything.

My Review:

A couple weeks ago I was invited to participate in the
blog tour of ‘The Liar’ by Nora Roberts. Since I love almost every book I’ve
read by Nora Roberts, I was super excited. I still had some weeks to go before
the book arrived but during those weeks I kept looking in my planner and
counting down the days before I could finally start reading this book. Sounds
weird maybe, but I was just so excited to start reading this one. The book
description sounded really amazing and when I was finally able to start reading
I closed myself of from the outside world and started.
In ‘The Liar’ we meet Shelby, a twenty four year who just
became a widow. Shelby is living with her three year old daughter in a huge
house going through her husband’s stuff when she find out that everything she
believed in for the last 4 years was a lie. Not only was her husband not who
she thought he was, but Shelby is also left with a huge debt. Now everything
Shelby wants to do is go back home, to the town she grew up in and the family
she loves, back to Tennessee. Back home Shelby soon learns that she never
should have left her home town and her family. Her family is more than happy
she is back and soon Shelby also meets a handsome carpenter who moved to her hometown
just a year ago, Griffin Lott. But not everybody is happy that Shelby is back
and Shelby still isn’t free of her past.
I was so looking forward towards this book that I was a
little afraid that my expectations would be too high. But fortunately for me
this book was everything and even more than I hoped it would be.
‘The Lair’ is a story of family, and small-town life. But
more importantly it’s about mistakes we make in life and how to come back from
them.
Just like all of Nora Roberts books this book is very
addicting. From the moment I started reading I felt myself being totally
addicted to the story of Shelby and her family. I just loved it. I loved the
way Shelby began reconquering her life and trying to fix the mistakes she made.
But most of all I loved the way she interacted with her little girl, Callie and
how she did everything to make sure her little girl had a great life.  Reading this book almost felt like I was a
part of Callie’s life and I just really enjoyed it.
This book was a perfect mix of family life, mystery and
also romance. I mean Griffin Lott, is just a perfect male character. I loved
how he became enchanted with the two redheads Shelby and Callie and the way he
tried to win Shelby’s hart.
Even though this book is 501 pages long, it was still too
short for me. I couldn’t get enough of the little town in Tennessee. I even
told my boyfriend we should totally move to a small town like that in real
life. (You should’ve seen his face!! LOL)
I already was a Nora Roberts fan, but this book made me
even more so. I would totally recommend this book. The way Nora writes her
books is just amazing, it’s an incredible journey to read through and I can’t
wait for her next book.
