My Review:

I don’t
know about you, but when the year is nearing it’s end, the temperatures drop
and it’s time for your Christmas decorations to come out, I always feel like
reading and listening to Romantic stories even more than normally. So when I
saw the sign-up for the Audiobook Review Tour of ‘Paper Love’ I didn’t hesitate
a moment and signed up. I couldn’t wait to start listening to this book.
In ‘Paper
Love’ we meet Joss Palmateer. Joss lived for a long time with her family in Papua
New Guinea. Now her mother is passed away and she is living with her father and
sister in the US. And this takes some getting used too. With everything going
on in her life, the last thing Joss needs, is falling love. But when she meets
her friends Brother Ben Montgomery, Joss just can’t ignore the sparks that fly
between them for long.
‘Paper
Love’ is a nice and sweet story. It’s not very long, which isn’t necessarily a
bad thing but I definitely wouldn’t have minded to have more time with these
characters. I especially loved Ben’s character. He was just so charming and fun.
And I really loved the way he tried so hard in winning Joss’s heart.
Joss was
kind of serious, and didn’t want to give in to Ben as easily. Which I
understood completely. And it was really fun to read how they slowly got together
more. ‘Paper Love’ was really a perfect read for this time of year.
Since I
listened to this book as an audiobook I was glad to find out I enjoyed listening
to Sara Sheckells. Her voice was nice and warm and it fitted this story perfectly.
I usually need time to get used to narrators voices but with this one it just
felt natural. Also the male voice Sara did was great. I hate it when narrators seem
to try so hard to make their voice sound male. With Sara it just fitted.
Overall, ‘Paper
Love’ was a really fun and charming book. And with a great narrator as Sara,
this book made for a great audiobook I’d definitely recommend.
