My Review:
I read the Deputy Laney Briggs series by Jodi Linton last
year and really enjoyed it. So when I heard Jodi had a new book coming up, I requested
an ARC as fast I could. I had a lot of declined request from Netgalley that
week, all because I didn’t live in the US, so when I saw my request for ‘Rebel
Love’ was accepted, I was thrilled.
Dirty Sinners Motorcycle Club. Being a woman and the president of one of the
most notorious motorcycle clubs isn’t easy. Em has to continuously prove that
she is as cold and badass as a president must be. But thankfully Em was raised
by her criminal father, and knows exactly how to handle those bikers.
Sinners, asking for a job. Em makes sure he gets the introduction every new
person gets.. The fact that Cade is sexy as hell isn’t an issue at all. The
only problem is, that it’s really distracting. And the one thing Em doesn’t need
is an distraction. There are more important things going on and Em needs her
cold and bad ass reputation to hold for a little longer.
what I would think of a book like this. I don’t really like motorcycles
(probably because of what I see in my job as a Traumatology nurse) and I don’t
really think people on motorcycles are sexy. At least.. Most people I see on a
motorcycle aren’t sexy. But I’m up for new things and I love Jodi Linton’s
writing. And I definitely enjoyed this book!! What I really liked was the way
this book pulled you in from the very first page. There is no slowly getting used
to these new characters and the MC world.. No we’re right in the middle of Em’s
story. I love that!
memorable. They are both good-looking and definitely capable of protecting themselves.
And from the moment they meet, they are attracted to each other. And although
they both have a lot of secrets, their attraction to each other seems to win
out.
honest. Em for example was supposedly this cold and bad ass woman, but every
time she spoke up I didn’t really believe her cold act. I couldn’t really see
her as a president of an MC club and telling all those bad ass murderous bikers
what to do.
his whole career at risk for a hot woman. I would have liked to see him with a
little more backbone.
really fun, exciting and definitely worth the time. This book never got boring
and I really loved the way Jodi Linton was able to make me interested in a MC
story. The writing was just as bad ass and fun as we saw Jodi Linton pull off
in the Deputy Laney Briggs series and I definitely like to see where this
series is going next.
My Rating:
About the Author:
Jodi Linton is the author of the Deputy Laney Briggs
Series and the Dirty Sinners Motorcycle Club. She lives in Texas with her
husband and two kids. When she’s not writing about sassy females and dirty
talking heroes, she enjoys long walks and family time down at the river.
