It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he
is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of
three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his
youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never
wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the

I’ve been a Harry Potter fan ever since the first book
came out many years ago. I grew up reading and re-reading every single Harry Potter
book at least six times. I’ve watched all the movies multiple times and on my
bucket list is visiting all those amazing sounding Harry Potter themed
experiences. So, naturally, when I heard there would be another Harry Potter
book only this time as a script, I was super excited. I bought the book as fast
as I could and it’s been lying on my coffee table, waiting to be read ever
since. I was a little reluctant to start reading because for one I didn’t want
to be disappointed if the book wasn’t what I expected it to be. And secondly..
If I read it.. I could never un-read it. And I always remember feeling so ecstatic
when I was able to read a new Harry Potter book for the first time. But in the
end it took me long enough and I dived right in.

I was wondering what I would think of reading a ‘script’.
But to be honest it didn’t bother me at all. Although this book is definitely a
little different than the first seven Harry Potter books, I must say I really
liked it.. A lot. I loved finding out how Harry, Ron and Hermione were doing so
many years later. I really felt kind of sentimental while reading this book. They
are all grown up now.. Just like me! Sigh..

In ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ we get to know the
children of Harry, Ron, Hermione and even Draco. And I loved it. This book was
definitely to short, because I wanted to read so much more about these old and
new characters. And we also get to read a little about some of our deceased
characters and it definitely made my day.

Sure, it’s not like the other books, and yes it’s not as
good as the other books were. But I really enjoyed reading every single page.
There were plenty of thrilling moments that kept me hooked and there was more
than enough to think about.

I’ve read that many Harry Potter fans were disappointed about
this read. Well.. I wasn’t disappointed at all! ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed
Child’ gave me a glimpse of Harry Potter, I honestly didn’t think I would ever
get after reading the last book years ago. If only I could get so lucky and be
able to see the musical..
