My Review:

When I read the Blog Tour invite of the Bodyguards of L.A.
County series, I knew I wanted to be a part of this. I honestly can’t believe I
haven’t heard about this series before. I love books like this. Romance,
Bodyguards.. Sigh. Although ‘Falling For Sarah’ is the second book in this
series, it can be read as a standalone. And it was my first book in this
series.
After reading the first view pages in ‘Falling For Sarah’
I just knew I would devour this read. I loved reading about Sarah and Ethan
from the moment I started, and I couldn’t stop reading till the very last page.
The characters in ‘Falling For Sarah’ are very easy to love, the relationships
are fun, the friendships are beautiful and the thrilling moments definitely are
intense. I loved this read.
The main character Sarah was definitely my kind of
character. Sarah is a young mother, who lost her husband in battle. Thankfully
for Sarah, her husband’s friends have always been there for her. Especially
Ethan. Ethan has been by Sarah’s side ever since she gave birth to her
daughter. When she lost her husband, Ethan became even more involved in Sarah
life, trying to help her whenever she needed him. But the last view months
something has changed. Sarah and Ethan become closer and closer.
This story was just beautiful. I loved the friendship,
and growing love between Sarah and Ethan. I loved the friendships between them
and the other characters in this book. And the romance was definitely fun and
exciting to read.
Ethan’s mood swings were a little tiring to read about to
be honest. But in the end I did understand why he was the way he was.
Cate Beauman definitely did a great job with this book.
The writing was good, the characters were nice to get to know and the romance
was just lovely. I truly loved this read.

About ‘Saving Sophie’:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23152223-saving-sophieJewelry designer Sophie Burke has fled Maine for the
anonymity of the big city. She’s starting over with a job she tolerates and a
grungy motel room she calls home on the wrong side of town, but

anything is
better than the nightmare she left behind.

Stone McCabe is Ethan Cooke Security’s brooding bad boy
more interested in keeping to himself than anything else—until the gorgeous
blond with haunted violet eyes catches his attention late one rainy night.
Stone reluctantly gives Sophie a hand only to quickly
realize that the shy beauty with the soft voice and pretty smile has something
to hide. Tangled up in her secrets, Stone offers Sophie a solution that has the
potential to free her from her problems once and for all—or jeopardize both of
their lives.

My Review:

After I read ‘Falling For Sarah’ I was desperate to read
more in the Bodyguards of LA County series. So I was more than excited to start
reading ‘Saving Sophie’, book seven in the Bodyguards of L.A. County series.
Thankfully this book can also be read as a standalone.
‘Saving Sophie’ is the story of Sophie and Stone, two
very different people who find each other. Sophie has fled the world she lived
in, and Stone is just living his life trying to feel as little as possible.
When their paths cross Sophie and Stone soon find something in each other they
haven’t found in anyone else before. And boy did I love reading about these two
characters.
At times, it was really sad to read Sophie’s story. Not
because she was a sad person, but because what she had to go through. I
especially think of all the people in real life that go through the things
Sophie went through. It was heartbreaking and I was really rooting for her.
At the same time, I felt frustrated sometimes because I
didn’t understand the things Sophie said or did. But I guess fear can do
strange things to a person. And in the end I loved getting to know Sophie’s
character. And above all I loved the romance between Sophie and Stone.
The romance between Sophie and Stone was really slow-paced
at first. This fitted the story perfectly and it made this read very addicting.
I loved the way the shy and scared Sophie, and the hard and still Stone
connected with each other and found love. I loved every page of this book.
After reading two book in the Bodyguards of L.A. County series,
I can honestly say I’m a huge fan of Cate Beauman. Not only are these books
sexy and romantic, they are also very pure, sweet and touching. And I can’t
wait to read the other books in this series.
